So my friend was trying to install atmosphere on his switch using Tegra, and he booted it into rcm correctly, and injected the payload. But when he tries to launch the firmware, it says the error message, "Could not identify package1, (numbers i cant comprehend), failed to launch firmware." This is his first time modding (and my first time modding a switch) so there could be some mistakes with an easy fix. Please let me know if you know a fix and I will tell him.

make sure you have the newest atmosphere download on your sd card. and make sure your card is formatted to fat32 and not exfat.

Atmosphere yes, fat32 im not sure. He said that something corrupted and im waiting for him to tell me what. If its the sd card ill tell him to format it. I had a similar problem while trying to mod my wii a couple years ago, and I formatted my sd card and it uncorrupted my sd and worked. I hope it will work for him.

Ask him if possible.
Connect it to a SD Card reader, backup the Nintendo folder to the computer.
Format the SD Card with "GUIformat" from Ridgecorp.
Copy back the Nintendo folder, download for example Kosmos package, then inject Hekate with some RCM tool.
Just to see if it works then.

Found out his sd card was corrupted this whole time. He formatted it and now were just waiting for results.

The results are in! He successfully installed kosmos! Although now I'm having issues. Ill put that in another thread though. Edit: Nvm. I didnt install pyusb. Doing that right now. Edit 2: Still not working :/
