Hacking Copy Save Data to Digital Game?

After reading through the Godmode9 usage guide (https://3ds.guide/godmode9-usage) I saw that I could make a .cia file from the cartridges that I own. Is there also a way to copy the save data from the cartridges too? I read that there is an official Nintendo tool I could use (https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997614-nintendo-3ds/68292853) but that will delete the saves from the cart after transferring. Is there some way I could do this but without deleting the saves from the cart?

Thanks, I'll check that out. Looking at the readme there, it only mentions DS carts. Do you know if this will work with 3DS carts?

It does. The currently inserted 3DS cartridge should be available to select
