I have been converting all my NSP files to XCI, and all XCI to NSP (later compressing them to NSZ).
I am the black sheep of my household, I use SX OS, the others use KOSMOS. I can't live without USB HDD support.
Nonetheless, I have run into a few snags, mainly, only half the XCI files I have will actually mount. They report "failed to mount xci", "failed to retrieve xci meta", and the dreaded "unknown nca magic".
The threads throughout all forums have little to no information on the matter, seemingly no one has knowledge of the errors. Most will state that it's a bad dump, but some have verified the dump as being correct, yet still fail.
To alleviate that misinformation, all the NSP files I have were tested on various firmware versions for performance and correctness by a small community. This allows for ease of verification.
I have used the latest 4NXCI, NSCB, and various XCI mounter tools to see if the title corrupted after. Some did, but were rebuilt to match the sha256 sum of their original XCI versions.
Is there any other causes for these errors? Or is it simply a problem without a known solution?
Added Info:
I have all keys, up to 0a master
Am on firmware 9.1
Games have been tested to perform on 9.1 and below.
