Hardware Convert USB Port in SD

Hello,

I would like to make an hardware change in my wii u.

When i look the console, i see on front face a sd port and 2 USB port.

The idea is to cut " track " of usb port and redirect on SD port , i think if i do thath my hard drive will be recognize like an SD card when i will plug it.

The only thing i need is a diagram for convert USB TO SD, like an adaptator.

I guess that will work for hack and loadinne

that won't work at all, you need an adapter.
and by adapter i mean, you need electronic parts that translates the usb into the sd, they are different protocols and work differently and even different voltages...

this is also why when hardmodding a 3ds NAND you need to use a SD reader. you can't simply connect it to usb, you need the adapter which translates one to the other

that thing has electonic components,

it is not just a cable.
you need components that translates both at hardware and software levels.

It's like saying if you cut a Wii U disc down to the size of a GameCube disc.....

That thing in there is actually a microcomputer.
It has a software that implements the USB protocol.
And actually the USB port is designed for connecting different devices that perform various functions.
The SD port isn't.
For this reason if you "made" an SD to USB port, it actually would have to contain the controllers for the USB HDD inside it.
It would have to be a microcomputer with a complex software inside interpeting the protocol on both sides and simulating/translating them.
That software and hardware would be very complex (but probably someone else already made them).
As an added effect there would be many problems such as, 1) loss of performance and terrible speed, 2) poor compatibility, and 3) power supply problems, an SD port can't feed an HDD, you would need an external power supply.

PS: Not worth the effort.

For the power , i would like to keep them of USB PORT, just need diagram for convert DATA + and DATA -

The device on the image you posted is what I described.
It has a microcomputer as I described.
It is probably under one of the ports, and it is probably one of those cheap mass-produced versions where they just put some plastic drop over it.
Nontheless, all the complexity I explained applies exactly the same.

So: Not worth the effort.

Look for the white plastic drop at the right side of one of those pictures.
If you want to destroy your adapter proceed, it IS a microcomputer/microcontroller.
No need to desolder it, I know what it is. But if you want to prove it to yourself go ahead.

it's not just soldering. you need to program a chip... you need to know both protocols.... and etc..

BTW i remember someone here had a device bought on ali express or something that actually achieved this, but it extremly slow and limited to 32 GB... and i think there was also connection issues or something...

You have right, i destroy it , it s not very expansive less than 1USD it s why i smile .it under the plastic there is nothing to desolder, so if use this adaptator

you can't use that chip.... that thing translated SD to USB, not the other way around....

this is a sd card, with built in adapter. this will also not work.

Yes the idea is to connect usb drive in sd slot with hardware modification. For having more memory and use WII U GAMES and homebrew, and WII Games in the same disk ...

USB += Pin 5 of SD CARD
USB - = Pin 7 of SD CARD
Data += Pin 8 of SD CARD
Data - = Pin 9 of SD CARD

DATA2 and DATA3 of SD CARD doesnt serve.

There is only 4 pin for rely both

Yep, you're right. But I thought if I said microcomputer it would be easier to understand that it actually is a thing with CPU/RAM and specially software tailored for the specific function.
