Convert .bat to a .img file RS-97

Hello all, have a quick question I just download a .img file I want to flash to an sd card, (it's for my rs-97 its an operating system) but I need to "convert" the .bat file to the .img file to work on my rs-97 2.1 board. when I click on the. bat file it opens a cmd prompt then closes and I don't know how to convert the .img file to work on my 2.1 motherboard when I put the sd card back in it goes shows a black screen, motherboard version 2.1 2017.1.4 1835
