Hey guys am new here and even more completely new to homebrew and stuff. i have a 6.0.0 switch that i install homebrew on. I wanted to ask if it was safe to update the controller or not? If it isn't wise, how do i completely make those notification disappear, because they pop out every time i turn on the switch and my bro might accidently update it. Also i cant seem to play BOTW after installing the homebrew. It says "some necessary data cant be found and i need to update" is there a fix ffor this without updating switch?

It is safe to update your controllers if they're unmodified. If your controllers are modified, you should update them wirelessly.

There is also no reason to buy and use SX OS. Free alternatives exist.

What are you referring to?

When i try to play breath of the wild, theres a cloud icon on top of it and it says "some necessary data could not be found and needs the latest firmware." I don't want to update the firmware for obvious reasons. But i want to play BOTW its the whole reason i wanted homebrew just so i can mod the save for BOTW.

You need to install the Breath of the Wild game update. Download the NSP and install it with tinfoil.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
