Gaming Contra 4

I'm having a trouble with the giant skeleton boss for Level 6 (Factory). I got past the first fight, then I got to the part that the boss is holding the doors and I'm supposed to shoot the blue switches to close them, but I can't get it in time because the boss will just open it again and breath fire at me. How am I supposed to beat him?

The only way I've done it is with a full power laser. (Don't know if others work)

Well I don't have any weapon... that sucks right?


EDIT: I got it! You're supposed to mash the Y button instead of just holding it.

You must have thumbs of steel...I've been doing that with my spread gun (low power) and it would never work however hard I tried..

at 3d like here to 150%..
but i play 100% ..
and u can play with infinit life .. keke

The Skeleton dude is probably the easiest boss in the whole game. He only has ONE attack...the fire breath. The pattern of his breath is the SAME every single time. He does three sweeps with his breath, and repeats it.

1. From left to right, sweeps down, so jump to avoid it.
2. From right to left, sweeps down, so jump to avoid it.
3. From left to right, sweeps up, so duck to avoid it.

As for the part when you have to close the door on his head, yeah, you gotta mash the Y button, and FAST. You can easily do it with your default weapon (what you have after you die). For myself, I had to actually use my index finger to mash the Y button (thumb wouldn't move fast enough). But that's not a problem since you can start mashing AFTER you avoid the third sweep of fire.

You don't even have to duck, just stand there for the last blast.

PS: Try to mash the left switch before the boss finish the last breath, when the switch goes active, you'll get more time.
