Hardware connecting switch to tv

It looks like the switch connects to the docking station using the usb-c port and that allows the connection via the HDMI cable to the tv.

Do you think it may be possible to connect the switch directly to a TV using a usb-c MHL cable? If so, that would mean we wouldn't need another docking station and can connect to any TV via usb-c MHL wherever we are...

This is being discuss in the other thread.

But yes if we can find the protocol and match it with and adapter then yes we can.
But wont know anything until launch day
