Misc Connecting between regions

Having trouble loading up Diddy Kong Racing US version over WiFi.
Using DS-X, compatibility list says it works perfect..

So wondering, is it possible for me, as European residence to play a US game on my wireless router?
Never thought it would be a problem..

for some reason.. it suddenly worked perfect.. right after posting this.
Didnt find any delete button..

so an admin, please delete.. or just let it be so I can shower in shame!
