Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Sorry wiixale may not have been descriptive enough with question 1. When I start hermes 222/223 installer through HBC you need to select the ios before you choose to install 202/222/223 etc. On loading it is defaulted to 249, but I change this to 236 before installing 2222/223 etc, what I meant is shoudl I leave this as 249?

Yeah, the software both on the site and included on the hard drive has the option to turn it off.

when I put an original game in the wii so I can install it via cfg this is what happens. first it sounds like the wii is "chewing" up the disc and then I get an error.
I can play dl, wii, and gamecube game discs fine but I only get this problem when trying to install. why?

It happens to me with SSBB ("ERROR = ret -2"). Everytime I loaded CFG I'd give SSBB a try. One day, it installed just fine. I'd say it's Wii drive related. You say you run "dl, wii, and gamecube discs", so I assume you're using the Disc Channel. If so, do they take a long(ish) time to load. I can also load original and backup discs (D2CKey) from Disc Channel, but I believe that if Wii drive takes too long to open the DVD, CFG will return a error message.

Have a good look at that disc mate and see if it's scratched or not..... just cos you can play it, doesn't mean to say you can rip it.... you probably haven't reached the part in the game yet where the scratches are located.

Yes, use 249 first, but I think you can use 236 too.

yeah I was thinking it might be a drive problem too. the disc is brand new. opened up after I got back from the store. no scratches, prints, etc. game loaded right up and played perfectly. but when trying to install...BAM! it gets to about 8.something% then the drive gets loud "clicking" cfg stops installing. I modded my pal's wii and it worked fine for him. I was just hoping I didnt have bad luck.

Doh... ten minutes later and more problems! Tried installing 222 / 223 over 249 but the installer is not connecting online to download files, instead it appears to be looking for a location on the SD card, fails and boots back to HBC???

I've tried adding "intro = x" and so forth to the config.txt and meta.xml, but no dice. Do I have to put in in the meta.xml under a weird tag or something?

It has to be in meta.xml and it does have to be within weird tags. Use the Configurator to add it in order to be safe. Unfortunately, I think we removed the switch one as it was too big, but one of the others might suit you better.

I downloaded the latest stable version, 61, and when it installed I lost all my covers..

Above all that, when I tried updating the covers I got CODE screen error thing..

Any help as to why this is happening?
