hey oggzee - has anything changed in this cycle regarding wiimote synchronization? i cant seem to nail it down to a specific set of circumstances, but it appears as though exiting a game and returning to cfg via return_to_channel will sometimes cause my wiimote to lose sync.
I haven't changed anything directly, but it could be caused by the new libogc.
There is an even newer libogc update available now (1.8.5) which i will use in next beta, maybe it will fix some problems.

cfg v61b2 (beta)
cfg61b2.dol
cfg61b2-222.dol
lang61b2.zip
(or online update)
Changes:

cfg v61b2 (beta)
* Updated libogc to 1.8.5
* Fixed wiitdb synopsis for non-EN locale
* Print wiitdb download url when updating
* Reenabled loading a config file specified by args

All is fine now.
Thanks.

Which Forwarder reads the meta.xml tag?
I'm using "USBLoaderCFG_NForwarder-UCXF-Channel" since a while. Can USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v4 do that?

Perhaps. Narolez said he'd be integrating oggzee's code for meta.xml support, but I can only find v1. Where was v4 released?

Tried v4, but it has no tag support too.

Edit: I'm not sure but it seems that loading CFGUsbLoader from HBC is much faster than from a forwarder, right? Why?

Hi Oggzee,
Firstly really thanks for your hard work, current cfg usb loader has been my favorite one to play wii backup game. It is fast and stable, but only one about managing cheat let me so boring, when I download cheat file via wifi, sometime cfg will show me the message, since the cheat includes a lot of entries, cfg will not show the cheat content

. That is really boring one, I have to generate gct file on my pc and then copy it to cfg code folder.

Please, if it is possible and easy to do, could you modify this.

Thanks

yanilan: I don't plan to improve the cheat management any further.
For small cheats it works fine, but for larger cheats the PC really is more appropriate.
Or use one of the dedicated cheat managers that are available on the wii.

v61a2 works normal, loads everything, incl NTFS partition.
v61a3 does not play mp3 background music.
v61b does not find my USB HDD anymore (U2O SSD 40gb).
v61b-222 works, but does not play mp3 background music.
Honestly, i can't say its improving this way, i'll stick to v60 for now.
Please try 61b2 and let me know if it fixes any of the problems.
Also if anyone else has some problems with v61b2 that don't exist on v60 please report them.
Because I don't see any issues with v61b2, so it will most probably be released as v61.

CFG loader is my loader of choice. i'm using v60-222. however, i have never been able to use all the versions of 61. all of them hangs at the startup splash screen. what could be the problem?
Even v61b2?
I don't know, can you try putting debug=1 in config.txt and see if it reports anything?

Or even better put this inside the meta.xml:
debug=1
And run the loader through HBC.

or run it with wiiload like this:
wiiload.exe cfg61b2.dol debug=1

Same here, i used HBC and started up CFG but black screen most of the time. Sometimes it will load but it appears to be more unstable in comparison to the latest official release v60

61b2 working fine for me here - actually haven't really had any problems with any of the 61 alphas or betas. The inclusion of the selectable intro through the meta.xml is a nice touch, thanks.

the debug command doesnt do anything as the loader hangs at the splash screen with the big CFG and version data at the bottom right corner. am i missing IOS or something. i did update my wii using pimp my wii. i really dont know what big changes in the loader causes this problem. really frustrated as i cannot use the latest version of my only loader.

Did you use debug=1 in config.txt or in meta.xml or with wiiload?
Try with meta.xml or wiiload, because looks like the cause of your hang happens even before the config is read.
That might give me more info as to where the problem lies.

bit confused here. I accidently updated to 4.3u. What should I use to mod my wii it and continue to use the great stuff you guys provided.
on the main forum I see Wii Hacking inside that there are 2 ways explained
1. is ModMii in windows
2. is Modify Any Wii 4.3 & below

Which one I should use. currently I use usb (wfbs) ?

Thanks,
Achu.

Your post is a little off topic but I'll help you.

The first thing you are going to do is to take your time and read the principles of Wii hacking here very carefully. Once you gain the proper knowledge come asking again. I can't tell you to go directly to either of the Threads you mentioned earlier because I'm 99% sure you'll get stuck in some part because of lack of knowledge toward some terms that may appear in the guide and/or modmii.

PS> Remember this Thread is about Configurable Usb Loader not general hacking.

I just started using Configurable USB Loader after using CoverFloader for a long time. So far every game I tried just worked without messing around so I'm quite happy. I do have a couple of questions though, I read quite a lot of info but there are also a lot of options so please be patient :-)

I really like the Coverflow mode but the covers look as if they have a 500 watt spotlight on them ;-) Is there a way to tone this down a bit?

I've seen pepxl's forwarder but I'm looking for a forwarder or wad for CUL that 'matches' the Wii menu style, any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to hide the game titles in GUI mode?

Thanks!

@katrem, how do you activate Coverflow mode on Configurable USB Loader?? I just started using it too and it's perfect!! By far, the best loader on the Wii.
