Hi Dr.Clipper, I tried both both disc (ask) & plus. So the main factor is that hermes v5 doesn't work with this game?
v5 does have issues on many drives. v4 has near perfect compatibility.

Hi i have a slight issue with cfg....

All of a sudden when i switched on my wii today and cfg loads up, there is about 4 or 5 games that are duplicated on my gamelist.
I have checked the drive on my comp and the games are not duplicated on the drive itself, only in the gamelist on cfg.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have a small request for the devs to consider:

Somewhere (global options maybe?) that shows the filename of the current playing music file. I have a dir full of .mod files that cfg randomly plays and sometimes I hear a tune I don't recognise. Would be nice if the filename was displayed somewhere (I'd like a full on scroller, but we all know that ain't gonna happen =] ).

first of all love Config USB Loader, long time user, light poster

from the FAQ, these filename layouts are supported:

ohnoes.png
\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs
ohnoes.png
\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].wbfs
ohnoes.png
\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs
ohnoes.png
\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.wbfs

is there an option that I'm missing so I can choose which format I want my ripped games to be saved to?

ie: I personally like 'Title [GAMEID], but Config USB Loader currently saves as 'GAMEID_Title'

also is there an option to choose whether I save .wbfs files as 2GB split files? currently Config USB Loader saves as 4GB split files.

If these options don't exist (I'm not finding them searching through the cfg file) could the devs please consider adding them?

thank you.

And to set it up so that you return to the loader instead of the Wii Menu, use return_to_channel=XXXX where XXXX is the ID of a Cfg forwarder you have installed.

how can i know the ID of my forwarder?

Do you have IOS249 rev 19 installed? If not, upgrade to it.

Samsung HDD portable S2?

The enclosure is a hitachi h31000u, inside is a western digital hdd. It might be worth mentioning that usbloader runs fine without the hdd connected, it only hangs when the hdd is attatched.

I just tried doing that. When i plug it in, it says OK!. The app is unresponsive to any key presses after that.

I also noticed right when the app starts. it starts counting down and even with the drive unplugged no buttons will do anything.

So last night i updated to beta7 - 222 and for the first time an update has killed it. Would it be better to just wipe it off the sd card and start again or should i try to fix it? where would I begin fixing even?

I'm not understanding very well what u r trying to say.

The update killed what? The loader, the wii, the sd card?

Can u be a little more specific.

sorry, i was on the way out when i typed that.
I have the new 4.2u version. I used the in-loader update and it seemed to work fine, it said "reset to make changes" which I always expect to do with any update. I reset and now when i start the loader it goes to a black screen, wiimote won't reconnect, power button still works for hold/reset but not single press.
I did install that trick to get Monster Hunter working a little while back but nothing has happened until this update.

What ur trying to say is that the loader does nothing after updating to the latest version?

If that is the case recently some guy asked the same and he got this answer

Well, anyone has problems with Transformers: Cybertron Adventures, because I've tried to play it from usb, cios 222-223 v.4 and ciosx rev. 19 and I get a black screen?

i really meant to ask if there was a why to it. sorry.
anyway, found my backup, copy/pasted that and then updated to beta 7 again but not with 222, works fine now.

does the retail disc work? if so, you might want to determine what ios its using that the loader doesnt have access to.
