so with the new ciosx r18 is ntfs writable or just readable like hermies atm... will ciosx be able to write to ntfs or is it the loader holding it back

Is there any advantage over using 222 over 249 now?

well, it fixed some compatiblity issues with ntfs partition and my hdd for me, it seems that 249 has a far better mload module for me using the new rev55 of the cfg usb loader...

btw is there a possibility to install multiple ios 249's (one with ios57 base and one with ios37 base cause of usb support) ?

Bit of a noob here... can you explain what you mean by the base? >.>;

I guess it's an IOS you use to install it or something. Just I don't remember ever selecting that kind of thing before when I have installed it. >_>;

Install it with base 37. Now you have the same cIOS at 249 and 250. Easy, huh?

If you want a different base for 249, do the following:

-Install normal with base 37
-Dump IOS250 with BlueDump
-Install the base you want for 249 (57/38)
-Install the dumped WAD from BlueDump with WADManager

I am using fat(222 v4 as 38) version of the loader with a FAT32 formatted Buffalo DriveStation 1TB.

Since 54b3-fat (support for cIOS 249 r18 added) i 've the following problem:

On loader startup, i think before ios 222 is loaded, my harddrive power off and on and then the loader starts normal. I don't like this, because the power off/on takes many seconds.

Can you please take a look on it?

With 54b2-fat all is fine ...

I testthe version 55a3. The following problem also 55a2x.

Game does not start when 2 partitions exist. by fat32

and now i must reset the wii with holding power button

Cios 18 as ios 38 installed

Hermes Cios 222 rev. 5

With only one partition in Fat32 its going. 2 partitions 1 with wbfs and 1 with fat32 its not going



with Cios 17 and cios 222 rev. 5 its going

Here I have a problem too, parental options don't seem to work...

I'm using 0.53 fat version, loader installed in the fat32 formatted harddrive, forwarder launches loader from hdd. (no sd card)

Here is my config.txt,

First off, it displays all options, remove game, install game and so on... Pressing 1 and waiting for 5-10 seconds, password entry displays ok, I can lock or unlock but that has no effect on the options of the loader.

Any clues?

Well I can select them, they are not grayed out.. And they function too, I see the confirmation for example for the game removal.

Well this page describes them quite the opposite... I don't think unlock password matters, it works currently but doesn't lock anything.

ps: upgraded to v54, still the same...

have u tried using dr clipper's configurator for configurable? Thats how I set mine up awhile back and it worked fine

I just double checked and it still works on v54a3, so yea, its definitely not a problem with the app, ur config file needs to be edited, if u copy and paste the lines from my last message i think it should work for u also

Well I fixed, but there is a great logical mistakes done here both on the wiki and the configurator...

my final config became,

CODEsimple = 1
confirm_start = 0
disable_remove = 1
disable_install = 1
disable_options = 1
disable_format = 1
admin_unlock = 1
unlock_password = BUDA

As a programmer logically I think disable_remove should be set to 1, but here is what happens in the configurator. That field is shown as
disable_remove and it's options are... 0 (enabled), 1 (disabled)... So if you select 1 you are logically disabling disabling of removal which actually means enabling removal... so you select 0 / enabled... but that's the wrong choice...
it's the same for the other choices as well.

@Dr.Clipper : maybe it would be better to word these options like this
Game removal : 0 (enabled), 1 (disabled)
