It shows up on the Wii Message Board.

Thanks Dr. I see it now.

It doesn't really suite the way we play around here, we never go to the system menu, I have Preloader set to launch CFG USB Loader on start up and re-boot, but i can see how it is usefull to some.

That's what make this program so great is that you can customize it to suite your needs.

Any possibility of having the play log stats show up on the game settings screen with in the loader, like "Wii Sports Resort last played 2/27/10 @9:30PM for 2hrs, 15 min"?

Thanks for the great work guys.
Well, the last played time (not duration) can be seen in the Configurator if you want, and you can sort by last played time using the sort menu in Cfg. It's not possible for Cfg itself to see the duration as that time is arrested by the Wii Menu.

hmmm freez in cios rev18?
Rev18 has a number of differences from earlier revs, meaning that the loaders will have to be updated to work with it.

Yeah.... and yet, GX loader just "works" with it

yeah, I got GX working on the normal NAND after some tinkering. But I can't get it to launch in SNEEK since the thing feels the need to mount an SD card before letting you do anything, and I didn't compile my SNEEK with SD-write enabled. Maybe they should let you skip that and/or have it time out after a few seconds... If there already is such a feature then I can't find it since it's been forever since I tried GX.

Either way, it just makes me more happy for when this loader will be compatible. Who needs SD loading anyway?

cfg v54b3 (beta3)
cfg54b3.dol
cfg54b3-fat.dol
lang54b3.zip
(or online update)
Changes:

cfg v54b3 (beta3)

* IOS 249 rev18 support
* Minor translation updates

note: with 249 rev18, sdhc might not work, if anyone used one with 249 rev17 or less finds that with rev18 is not working let me know, or if you find that it is still working let me know too..

I just tried rev18 and v54b3 and it can't find my sdhc-card. It worked fine on rev17. It's a SanDisk Ultra II 16GB. Can it be fixed?

Ok, so it is as i suspected.
I don't think I can fix that, to me it looks like cios 249 rev18 has broken sdhc support.
Or I am doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
Is SDHC with 249 rev18 working in any other loader?

Tested here and same - doesn't seem to see the SDHC card with v18.

And just a dumb question (because I pretty sure I already know the answer)...v18 doesn't have the ablity to be used like Hermes for use with an NTFS drive, correct?...strictly FAT/WBFS?

I have cIOS r18 & Cfg loader 54b3 installed
my games turn black screen after start
I tried installing cIOS r18 with base 57/70 and re-installing herms

I had herms IOS installed and everything was working in 54b2 + cIOS r17 + herms v5
I am using USB harddisk (FAT formatted)

anyone having the same issue?

update:
I reinstalled cIOS r17 with cfg loader 54b3 and my game still go into black screen
only reverting to 54b2 'fix' the problem
is it possible that it has anything to do with ocarnia/wiird support?
I have set wiird=1 for my USBGecko but it wasn't connected when I encounter the above problem

No it doesn't have that ability, because the modules that require changing are already built-in and can't be overridden. (or at least I don't know how) It has some FAT loading capability but it's using a slower method and only supports trimmed isos. FAT/NTFS works just fine with hermes cios 22x... and at the moment 249 doesn't bring any benefit. So I don't think it's worth wasting time adding that support.

oggzee, I am having a problem with Madden NFL 08. I used the original disc to make the dump.

I have used IOS 249 (rev17 and rev18 using IOS38)
Hermes v4 and v5 of 222, 223, and 224.

When I choose "maddens.dol" as the alt dol I get a code dump when I launch the game.
In USB Loader GX the game works so that rules out a bad dump.

I removed the settings for Madden NFL 08 in config.cfg thinking that may help but it did not.

I suspect you are updating your loader to have even more support for the new cIOS's but if you get the chance can you look into it.

Thanks.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, and that's how I've been running (NTFS/Hermes). Was just playing around with the new 249 to test stuff out.

Which cfg version are you using exactly?
Can you post the code dump screnshot?
Or, if you don't have a camera nearby can you write down the STACK DUMP numbers (not entire page, just those 2 lines)

I go into a little bit more detail in this thread http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=210542

For the playlog to show is obligatory to enter through the sys menu right?
For the guy from Chile "We know your country is strong and will recover in no time"

"Nueztras plegariaz eztan pueztas en uztedez"

i don't know if i'm the only one with this issue, but since i updated some of my hermes' cIOS to v5, i changed the option for the loader use 224.
the problem is, after a few seconds, the loader hangs, and i need to shutdown by pressing the wii power button. another strange thing is that some games that i've tested so far with 224, they also give the same hang, but in different parts, and always when loading. i may be guessing wrong, but this is a cIOS problem ? i've tried different versions of cfg loader, and i have still the same problem.
in any case, here's my setup: hermes' cios v4 for 222, and v5 for 202, 223 and 224, cfg loader version 53-fat. thanks in advance.

edit: oh, i forgot to mention, 224 is using ios 57 as base.

That's a known issue, it's even in the readme:

cfg v53a (alpha)

* cIOS 222/223/224 v5 support
Note: only use 222 for loader, 223 and 224 will freeze if used for loader,
however 223/224 work fine for games. That means, don't put ios=223-mload in
config.txt, but it's ok if it is set for a specific game in options screen.
* New option value for ios: 224-mload
* Support for HDDs with 4k sectors (WBFS partition only)
* Fixed option: home=hbc

is there any debug version I can try?
cause I dont see any code dump
