It sounds like you might have used Wii Backup Manager 0.3.4 and kept all partitions? Delete the file from the drive and transfer it again with 0.3.5. It was a little bug that's now fixed.. It only affected SSBB when keeping anything other than the game partition only.
Thanxxx man that did the trick, thanxx again

FAT/NTFS support FAQ
Q: Is there any advantage using FAT/NTFS rather than a WBFS partition?
A: Depends on personal preference. These are some of the poins:
advantages:
- no need to repartition in case the disk is already used for other stuff
- the game files can be copied using normal file managers
- the partition space can be shared for other purposes
- better choice of file-system recovery / de-fragmentation tools
disadvantages:
- only cIOS 222/223 v4 can be used. FAT/NTFS using cIOS 249 is not supported.
- limited choice of loaders: only CFG and GX support FAT/NTFS at the moment.
similarities:
- loading speed should be approximately the same compared to WBFS
[/p]
May I ask what impact the bolded part has? ie Are there some games that only work properly with 249?

should also note ntfs (DOES NOT HAVE WRITE CAPABILITIES YET) meaning u cant install games to ntfs at the moment
but yeah nothing wrong with cios 222/223 or 249 just 249 cant do fat or ntfs

cfg v53a (alpha)
cfg53a.dol
cfg53a-fat.dol
(or online update)
Changes:
cfg v53a (alpha)

* cIOS 222/223/224 v5 support
Note: only use 222 for loader, 223 and 224 will freeze if used for loader,
however 223/224 work fine for games. That means, don't put ios=223-mload in
config.txt, but it's ok if it is set for a specific game in options screen.
* New option value for ios: 224-mload
* Support for HDDs with 4k sectors (WBFS partition only)
* Fixed option: home=hbc

* cIOS 222/223/224 v5 support

Does this mean emulated saves are supported now???

If so this loader once again rules the roost!!!!

Since CFG 52b5-FAT (did not try b3 and b4) when directly starting in GUI mode (coverflow) the loader loads several covers and then a green bar appears and CFG crashes and returns me to HBC. (Sorry, no DSI errors....)
Tried removing and redownloading all images -> still the same.
Images are on the SD card (write enabled).
Pressing B as soon as CFG 52-FAT tries to load the images to get into console mode -> No more problems.
I will try CFG 53a-FAT later today and post the results.

IOS222v4 / 4.2E / CFG 52

P.S. Is it possible to completely disable Ocarina in CFG 52+?

digdug3:
i think wiiboxart has some covers corrupted, remove it from the list of urls and retry downloading the covers..
or check with windows which cover is corrupted...
while you're at it run a disk check on the sd card too...

@oggzee:

You are (of course) right. I had 3 corrupted fullcover images (black bottom in Windows). Replaced them with the correct ones and CFG 52-FAT is working prefectly again! That explains why only GUI-Coverflow (fullcover) had the problems and CONSOLE (2D/3D) didn't.
Maybe you could add CRC checking of the PNG file (according to the PNG format each chunk has it's own CRC) to prefend downloading of corrupted images?

Thanx!

The fix was planning to go in this release anyways.

Another little suggestion to make cfg even better.

Downloading Covers skips non-favs when displaying only favs.
I think all Covers should be checked to make it easier.

Can someone help me?
I have Ios222 mload v4 installed and a FAT32 Usb Hard Drive.
If I start CFG Loader with my Drive plugged in, it hangs and the Wii flickers (Blue Disc Tray Light)
But if I start the CFG Loader with my drive still unplugged, and plug it after the "no Hard Drive found" Message, everything works.

it might be your hard drive... it could be going to sleep...

try turning off the wii to red (not to idle-yellow), then turn on the wii (your hard drive should light up), then try launching configurable usb loader right away and see if it works

u can always try a different hard drive to confirm if the problem is your hard drive

I tried it now with my 16gb Cruzer Stick, seems to work.
I will try to formate the hard drive now, thanks for the help!

I don't think reformatting will help.
I think it's just a initialization timing issue that some drive have...
Not sure how to fix that, try both normal .dol (that sues ios249) and the -fat.dol that uses ios222.

hmm weird...
I used that drive for months formated on WBFS and it never had any problem.
I think that reformating would help. Last night, I needed to stop the formatting to FAT32, I wanted to do it the next day. But when I wanted to format it again, I saw that the drive was on FAT32. So I think it somehow worked, even if it was not formatted properly.

But before I do it, I will check it with normal .dol.
