Well, with cfg v32a1 (alpha1), Red Steel doesn't appear to work though on the plus side, I didn't hear the drive spin down this time like I usually do, so maybe it's at least trying to start.

*edit*
Sam and Max doesn't work either. These games are ones that do this, aren't they (just to make sure I'm not misremembering here)?

What does it mean by Block IOS Reload ? What does it do ?
P.S. How about the Favorite Game List ?

Thanks !

It's supposed to fix the games that don't work because of IOS reload.
(house of the dead 2, redsteel, mortal kombat,...)
The fix implemented is the same one as the uLoader uses, not the alternative dol loading.

Yes Favorites are coming too

Presumably he means it's doing something to try and keep games from reloading IOS...that is to say, blocking them from doing so. If they were to reload IOS, it would screw the USB Loader up (this is why games like House of the Dead 2 and 3 and Red Steel won't work).

Yes, that's it.

I see no changes though. hmm, wonder if this is what he meant

There is an additional option in the game settings screen:
Block IOS Reload:
It only works if IOS is set to 222-mload or 223-mload

Did you set IOS to 222-mload or 223-mload as well?
Do these games work with hermes uLoader 2.0?

I'm not sure how useful this will be, but Mortal Kombat Armageddon is not working for me.

I tried changing IOS both in the game options and in config.txt.

It also doesn't work with uLoader 2.0 (I assume the Skip IOS option is the equivalent), so I guess this isn't your problem, oggzee.

Can I just install cIOS223-mload while keeping my original cIOS222 ?

I need to keep my old cIOS222 so that my installed game channels work.

However, I need the new cIOS223-mload to make IOS reloading games work on CFG Loader.

I set IOS to 222-mload and set Block IOS Reload: ON, saved the settings and ran the game.

Tested Sam and Max. this rebooted my Wii as usual.

The cIOS itself doesn't seem to have changed since version 1.6, so you may not need a reinstall. But yes, you can install cIOS223 without changing cIOS222.

My cIOS222 is the primitive one, not that comes with uLoader.

You mean kwiirk's cios 222, right? that uses yal loader, that one is named 222-yal in cfg loader.
Yes you can still install cios 223 without touching your old cios 222.

Thanks for the reports!
So it seems it might help some games, but not all.
I can say that House of the dead 2 & 3 works for me - 3 worked already before but now also 2 works.
And probably Metroid Prime 3 will work as well, as it is reported to work with uLoader.

Ok, since this doesn't fix it for all the games I will be adding alt.dol support next...

Wow ! That is a great answer for me !! Thanks a LOT !

Yeah, I set the IOS to 222-mload. I'd try it with uLoader 2 except the most recent download I found was 1.8e (I guess I didn't realize there was a 2.0). Am I perhaps using the wrong version of the mload cIOS?

The cios hasn't changed, I think.

(However ehcimodule that is being loaded was updated in uloader 2.0, while cfg still uses the one from uloader 1.8. But I have to update cfg loader with the new ehcimodule, you can't update that with a cios update)

Does the loader write 0x80000000(game id address?) to 0x80003184? If not Sam & Max can't work. Also the magic word needs to be in memory before the apploader code.

PS: Easy test for this: If the loader can play ANY games from usb using cIOSrev12, Sam & Max is not compatbile.

Hi All,

I would like to make a theme is there a guide on how to do it and what software i need. A little help is much appreciated ... thank you.

It doesn't, tnx for the tip, I will add that.

Btw what are these for:
*(vu32*)0x800030F0 = 0x0000001C;
*(vu32*)0x8000318C = 0x00000000;
*(vu32*)0x80003190 = 0x00000000;

Sorry if this has been answered but I couldn't find it in the last 8 pages or using Search...

I upgraded to rev_13a from rev_10 to get Indiana Jones to work, but all my other games give me the 002 error now.

I believe I am using 31c with the 002 fix. Upgraded to 4u using Wanniko's updater.

Is there a setting I need to change to activate the fix? I have read there is for the GX loader.

Thanks.

Sorry 82 pages was too much to look through.

I have just recently started dumping games to my new 1.5TB external drive. This is likely something that will need a bug fix (can get a screenshot if needed), but if there is no internet connection and you attempt to Download Covers (either one at a time or DL all) the app crashes and then the Wii needs to be manually powered off and gets sent back to the System Menu.

Is there already a fix for this or can you maybe add another line of code to check for an internet connection and display a warning if one isn't found rather than the app just crashing?

Again, sorry if this was already answered.

Look at the memory SoftChip writes and when, i think these 3 addresses are only written by Gecko OS/Gamma/NeoGamma. And SoftChip is compatible with all compatible games as far as i know.
