Do we need to rip it from a disc ourselves?

Tryed with redsteel and mohh2
Does it load ok? Or, what happens?

Sounds like it could be a drive spindown issue. If rev 13 fixes it, then that's definitely what it was. I had a similar problem in some Hudson games, and rev 12/13 were the only things to fix it (Hermes' IOS 222/223 made it less frequent, but didn't fix it).DaFees said:Here's a fresh one for you all. Lately, when I'd play my guitar hero games, World Tour and Smash Hits, I would sometimes experience skipping, where the song would repeat itself over and over for a few seconds then resume as normal. When this happens in the menus it is ok, but when this happens in game the music skips but the notes don't so then what your actually playing doesn't line up with the song.
If it helps I have IOS 249 installed, cIOS 38 rev13a installed, and hermes ios 222 installed. I should note however this happened before installed cIOS 38r ev13a, tonight.
Any explanations on this one?

Have you tried loading the game with rev 13 instead? Even if the mic doesn't work (I think it might, though) you will see if your skipping problem is caused by that.DaFees said:Oops, thanks for the reply my initial post was not worded correctly. What I meant to say is that this skipping happened both before and after installing rev13a which meant that installing rev13a didn't make much a difference. If it helps I load all my guitar based games with m-load 222 for obvious reasons (mics).

with cIOS222 ?
For me it works fine with either cios 249,222,223.
Alternative dol is a must for this game.

Is the hermes 222/223 necessary? I don't have this installed (nor would it let me for some reason).
Yes hermes 222/223 is required, as it provides the ability to block ios reload.
btw, only HOTD 2 requires this, HOTD 3 works fine even without ios reload block and on cios 249.

It took me a few hours to find a WBFS manager that could detect the WBFS partition on my drive as Windows wouldn't assign a drive letter to it (wbfsgui run as administrator FTW). Once I had that, extracting the alternate .dol with Wii Scrubber wasn't too hard.
I so wish there was a way to just find the alternate .dol in the game itself and execute it directly from the drive, though.

The same alt dol method does work for RedSteel in USB Loader GX however. Still, I would love to see it work here as I much prefer this loader![]()
Ghostbusters runs just fine with the latest USB Loader CFG and rev13a....so does Indy!
Thanks for the reports! Good to know.
I'll try making RedSteel work too.
