Nice job, oggzee. I hadn't updated my version for a while, so had to read a few pages of updates
smile.gif
.

Here's a bug: when themes are located in SD:\Apps\USB Loader and covers are in a custom location, the loader "forgets" the custom covers location right after you attempt to change a theme.

Also, I want my B button back for options!

you should have specified the custom path in the config.txt and the loader will not forget it

Huh? I did specify it. How else would the loader know the custom location if it wasn't specified?

*---*cIOS36_rev10=249 works a treat .
*---*kwiirk =222 works a treat .
*---*hermes = 37+36 =223 works a treat .
no freezing what so ever with some games like De Blop
wink.gif
thanks bro . and by the way full background song plaid all the way with no problem
wink.gif

Great to hear!

For the wondering, the version BIG MOE is talking about is this:

http://sharebee.com/15c2c5eb

(SDUSB-Loader_cfg31aa.dol)

So if anoyone had problems with 223-mload, try this one, (although it's just a dol, ...)

That's true the custom location is reset, when changing theme runtime, because the cover style is reset too and that changes the images location... I should probably add 3 different options for cover path (std,3d,disc) and let the style just choose the proper location instead of changing it to the default...

Hmm, which button do you suggest for the GUI mode then if B is for options? button 2?

SM4.0E with Hermes 222 as default = crash
SM4.0E with Hermes 223 37 merge 36 = crash

The systemmenu is patched with waninkokos 4.0 upgrader.
Im useing the Hermes cios installer 1.6 package from the uloader 1.8E. USBloader+CFG v31a
Loading cios222 and 223 from uloader works flawless.

Maybe that helps to solve the issue.

Thanks, that's a very informative bug report
smile.gif

Can I ask if you can write down the stack trace numbers, in the crash screen, at least the first 3.
Or if you take a picture of the crash screen and post it somewhere or send it to me ([email protected])

There is no Stack dump. it freezes with following message:
CODE[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...

IOS 222 (m-load) or
CODE
[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...

IOS 223 (m-load)
Drive is still active(blinking) and a press on the reset button jumps back to hbc "instant".
I'm useing a Toshiba HDD 500GB with 2 primary partitions. 1st is fat32 2nd is wbfs.
Haven't tried v31aa yet. Will try it this afternoon.

cfg v31aa: (alpha2) still got the same problems with 222-mload as icebreaker321 metioned before. It freezes just before booting a game.

I have Hermes cios 222 based on IOS36 (Default) installed.

QUOTE2) Launch cIOS 222 Installer aplicaction. Remenber you
it is a different version to use with uLoader. You have the
possibility to install cIOS 202 (homebrew), cIOS 222 (uloader)
and cIOS 223 (uLoader Alternative)

This cIOS don´t includes the ehcmodule or dip_plugin: it is
loaded externally using the new dev/mload method and
uses an IOS 36, 37, 38 or 60 base (merged with IOS 36)

Maybe oggzee have missed something when implementing this in cfg31 ??

cfg31aa does load ehcmodule and dip_plugin when ios 222/223-mload method is used, so that is not the problem.

Can you tell me:
- what drive do you use (external usb hdd or usb thumb drive)
- have you made sure to use usb port 0 (can you try the other one)
- have you copied v31aa correctly to apps/usbloader/boot.dol?
(you can check the version from inside the loader if you go to select device menu)
- does uloader by hermes with cios222 work for you?
- how many and what type of partitions do you have on the usb drive?

Sure.

I use a external HDD 160GB (with one partition) connected to port 0 and of course i have the boot.dol at the right place. And uLoader works (but it looks ugly).

Most people will probably use either console or GUI mode and not switch back and forth too much, right? If that's the case, 1 or 2 can be used to switch between them. I personally will probably stick with the console for now, not sure why, but I've grown to like it over the past couple of months.

Have you thought about switching to xml format for titles.txt? There was a thread that discussed doing that. It would allow Unicode characters for titles and meta tags, so that we could eventually sort by genre, etc.
