First replace the image with:
RedSoxFan.jpg


Then resize it to 640x480 and rename it background.jpg. Put it in sd:\usb-loader\ and there it is.

Or as a theme, put the background.jpg in sd:\usb-loader\themes\RedSox\
Then add (or change) the line:
theme = RedSox

I'm not sure Configurable accepts jpgs. You need to convert it to a .png instead.

Use Gimp or another image program to save your image as background.png, then do as quoted above.

You will also need to set the layout to something suitable. Large3 is probably bad for that setup, but experiment with the other options listed for "layout =" in README-CFG.txt (I suggest ultimate1, ultimate2, ultimate3 or kosaic).

You can also set your own console and cover spots by using the "console_coords=x,y,width,height", "covers_coords=x,y" and "covers_size = width, height" options to maximise use of your background.

Oh, and if you want it to be behind the GUI (gridflow) instead of the console, just replace sd:/usb-loader/bg_gui.png with your image, or put it into a theme folder as specified above.

Edit: OK, just realised that's one of the USB Loader GX themes, hence all the funky buttons. Your best bet is to actually just go here, download the zip of that theme and copy background.png to sd:/usb-loader/background.png and sd:/usb-loader/bg_gui.png and then copy wbackground.png to sd:/usb-loader/background_wide.png and sd:/usb-loader/bg_gui_wide.png. Then play around with the layout options until you find something nice.

Oggzee. First of all, I'd like to thank you for your great work with your awesome USB Loader! Superb work! I do have one problem which I made a new topic for, but I think it might be smart to also ask you here in this topic.

I searched through the whole forum to get an answer to my problem, but couldn't find one. So hopefully one of you guys and girls can help me out.
I'll try to be as clear as possible with all the configurations I have.
Region of the Wii: PAL
Modchip: Cycowiz
Systemversion: 3.2
USB Loader: Configurable USB Loader
USB Loader version: 33
CIOS version: 249
WBFS Manager: Wuyou 2.67

I copied the PAL version (1,99 GB) of Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbados' Treasure on my USB stick. When selecting it, I get all the options and it recognizes it. But when booting the game, I get a black screen. Nothing more.
I deleted it from my USB Stick and reinstalled the game, but still no luck.

All my other games work flawlessly, so I really don't get the point. Hopefully one of you smart people here can help me.

Hi guys i need some help, i had in my wii the usbloader gx channel, USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder_SD-UCSF channel and the USBLoader 1.0 channel.
The usbloader gx channel and USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder_SD-UCSF i deleted from wii settings is that ok to delete it from wii or i need to do it from wad manager?
If i need to do it from wad manager can u guys help me please?
After installed the cfg v35a when i turned the wii on came a message saying that the memory on my wii was full and i needed to go to wii settings and deleted some

i got a 8g sdhc with cfg v35a that is why i want to delete it from my wii

I am currently moding one of my friends wii.
and I would love to know when you will be adding the coverflow from upstatical in one of your release.
no hurry.. just want to know if it is worth keeping the box with me a couple of days, or if I should simply give it back to him. (and then go to his place to install the new version... he is a noob, so even if I use a forwarder it is going to be to complicated for him... I even ripped all his game for him because I was not sure he could figure out the install button.. lol)

the more your loaders go, the more you are my favorite.
it is a huge work you are doing for us.

I guess we'll make another 35 alpha with coverflow this weekend, and then a beta and release sometime next week.
So, it's not gonna happen overnight.

I think deleting channels from wii settings should be fine.
If you want to do it with the wad manager, you select the wad and then press - button

(I think the only thing that wii settings remove leaves behind is the ticket ID of the channel (which takes practically no memory) and maybe the wad manager removes that as well... not sure.)

seriously I was hoping for an alpha this week end.. and you seem to think that there is hope.. that's WAY more than what I was expecting.
I guess I will wait and put it (if works fine which I do not doubt) and hand out the box...

then I will go to his place to update it when needed.
at the moment most of his games run on all loaders. no indy or MKA.. so there should not be any issue.
it is just a matter of look and feel.. I really loved the video I saw from the coverflow

Well, I wouldn't necessarily call it perfect. IOS223 mload is great for certain things (such as getting HOTD2 to work), but it has an extremely annoying problem with getting back to the Wii menu after playing such a game. You have to physically turn off the Wii and back on.

I was using 13a previously, but with the addition of the Anti-002 fix, I was able to go back to rev12 and still play Ghostbusters and Indy...which is great. Rev12 does not have the annoyance of having to reboot after playing a game, and it did incorporate the ability to play certain games without a disc in the drive (like Metroid Corruption) that rev 9 did not have. With cIOS rev12, IOS223 mload (for HOTD2 etc), and the latest USBLoaderCFG gives you the best of all worlds currently in my personal opinion. Still looking forward to rev14 however, in hopes that it will fix certain titles that do not work on any of the current cIOS's (like COD3)

I didnt make that video I justed used it to show everyone what the forwarder looks like. The package I made is setup to load config USB Loader. Just copy the files to the root of your sd card and install the wad and everything will be set up. After you press start on this forwarder it will load config USB Loader (no trace of gx loader)



But you did make the forwarder, or no? Also, it was previously asked what the channel ID is?

I'am using m-load 223 [i have usb lan adapter] and for me with cios 249 rev 10 fixed and cios rev 13b is perfect.
I can go back to wii menu without any problems.

If you plan to keep using cfg, I suggest you switch to rev 13 (aka 13a). 13b was only made for loaders that were incompatible with the correct 002 fix. With 13a, you get exactly the same features, but you should have far less trouble getting certain games to work.
yes i will use cfg usb loader.

Actually it did happen overnight, but Ogg had to go and create another alpha release!

I didn't see this option anywhere in the config.txt readme file. But is there anyway to remove the ability to uninstall a game?

I plan on leaving my wii in the family room, and I don't want people to be able to delete my games, even by accident.

I think I found a little bug/glitch, although I cannot seem to reproduce it every time. Today (using the latest alpha) I saved settings to use 222mload/IOS reload blocking on for HOTD Returns. Later I went to play a different game, and saw that it oddly loaded 222mload and IOS reload blocking...although I did not have any of these settings set for that specific game. I exited the loader and rebooted, and of course the settings for that game were not set to 222mload or anything.

Another instance I had alt.dol loading saved as a setting for Ghostbusters, but when I checked all of the other games settings they were ALL set to alt.dol on. After I reloaded the loader these settings were back to normal on all of the games.

Seems like somehow things *sometimes* get globally set....if you know what I mean?

That is correct, while you are changing game options you are changing the settings globally.
I don't think that's a big issue, well, as long as you know that it is behaving this way
