I am using cfg70 mod r19 and so far looks good, is there any way of updating the cfg configurator to implement the new auto cios detection into it ? I mean the last day I modded a wii for a friend of mine and needed to set it up child proof so I disabled the options in configurator. once done that all games would load cios 249[56] no matter what base it was the game, had to enable the options again so games like black ops could load cios 250[57]

any help would be apreciated

Hello all. I'm suddenly having this bug with the loader wherein the loader suddenly isn't reading any of my game covers, even though the path is right in both the configurator and config.txt are both set to read off the external drive I use for it (NTFS, and I have ntfs_write set to 1 as well). Furthermore, whenever try to download any covers, the loader gives me an error. I've tried v69d, v70, and v70r15, and they've all given me stack dump errors. It just started happening today when I updated (I can't remember the last time I updated, but it definitely hadn't been for at least half a year),but before today, all of the overs were working well.

I can still download the WiiDB and titles.txt just fine, though.

if it does not bother you that much you can reformat to fat32 at 32k clusters for the HDD instead of NTFS, I know this would take a lot of time for you to backup your games if you have many but trust me its more easy to setup, also you need to use a program like wii backup manager to split your games to 4gb parts if they are larger, also just to let you know almost any loader that I know of have the ability to download the covers for you so you wont have to worry were you place them, if you will have any difficulty seting up just let me know and will guide you

As my console isn't on-line, I usually manually update wiitdb.zip and titles.txt from GameTDB. The information for Wii Games comes up, but not for NGC games though.
Don't download just the english one. You need to get the full zip file. Go to this page and click on wiitdb.zip.

I'm having some trouble.

1) I'm using Configurable USB Loader MOD v70 (r19 updated to r20 ).
2) I have tried to convert ".gcn" games by using DiscEX. I put the output folder into SD card's "games" folder. (I would like to put a "*.gcn" game into my WBFS folder but I couldn't do that by using Wii Backup Manager. Please let me know if it's possible. I also tried other usb drivers on FAT32/NTFS formats. none worked. this is why I used sd card.)
3) When I select the game (Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance), I can hear disc eject/insert noise from my wii. And Wii restarts. (I also tried putting an original gamecube game disc into wii drive)
4) I have 4.3E ios and I believe have recent cios installed 249, 250. (I can play every single wii game except "Driver: San francisco". I also have hermes cios installed)

Do I need any special OS other than I use every day ?
Do I need any other applications ?

What am I doing wrong ?

(I have tried my best to find a solution before asking. So please don't flame if I missed any guide related to this issue.)
(I only have Baldur's Gate iso at the moment, this is why I tried it.)

edit:
I think I got the missing point
I don't have anything related to DIOS MIOS Lite installed on my system such as DML WAD.

wad installation makes me worry since I have a brickable 4.3E black wii.
my current cios is ios249(rev20)

Hello! I'm having a bit of a quirk with my loader settings. I'm running v70r15 (as far as I recall), and everything I seem to playback has black borders along the top and bottom of the screen. I've set widescreen=0 in the config.txt, but that didn't change anything. The game playbacks are PAL being forced into NTSC. Is there something I can do about this?

(I apologize if this has already been asked and answered, but, it's a bit of a nuisance.)

Image files aren't supported with DML, they have to be converted with DiscEX (have a look on the DML google-code download page for the latest version).

If you need any further help, ask in the DML thread in the Wii Hacking forum or just wait for a reply from someone else (who might have a second opinion).

Actually, if using DML on the real nand, the ISO works as is, but you would want to use DiscEx to compress it, anyway. With the latest release of DiscEx, supposedly only Kirby Air Ride will not work compressed. DiscEx extracts some files and puts them in a folder named after the game's ID, along with the ISO itself.
