Hi,
I modded my wii last night. So far everything works (aside from a minor hitch of the hdd failing to mount for a few minutes randomly). I have IOS reloading games working fine, but I'm trying to get Return to Channel working.
I'm using CFG v69 (latest from Modmii) and cIOSX rev21d2x v6 final as base. How do I enable Return to Channel?
Thanks

I want my games to return to Cfg or another channel when I quit them.

return_to_channel = ##0##, JODI, FDCL, AF1BF516, …

This option controls what happens when you push the Wii Menu button after pushing the Home button on the Wiimote. 0 will not change anything and the console will go to the Wii Menu as usual. Alternatively, you can set a channel ID to launch, such as the HBC or a forwarder channel ID. The channel ID can be either a four character ASCII value of the ID or an eight character hex value of the ID.

Great, thanks.
So, perhaps I should have posted in the noob thread after all, but I just add this line into config.txt as is and it will return me to cfg usb loader on the usb?

Thanks a lot

You can also try return_to_channel = auto and it will bring you to whatever channel you came from.

Just beware with game channels that cannot pick this up (put in meta.xml instead, for instance), otherwise it will keep rebooting into the game!!!

Hello,

I've just switched to CFG Loader yesterday and I have to say this is the most stable loader ever. I really like the admin lock functionality. The only problem I am having is that I am unable to lock back the loader by pressing 1 for 5-10 seconds after it has been unlocked. Is this a known issue or am I force to use the System Setting to lock back the loader? Thanks!

Edit: Sorry forgot to mention this: I am using ciosx d2x v6 on 249 base 56. The cfg loader version is 69d.

i guess locking back by holding 1 works only in console mode, in gui mode yes you will need to go to system settings and lock it there.
(press b to switch between gui and console mode)

Hi ogzee, the new ModMii v4.6 was released and now it signs all cIOS with the same identification method of d2x.
I've tested with hermes v5 base 57 installed on slot 222 and cfg shows it as a d2x cIOS and tries to activate the new block_ios_reload (which fails), can you correct this?
There are more details on the ModMii post, like the new 75 for identifying base 38+37
regards!

I have a wii 4.3e which is in Spanish with cfg 69d.
I changed the language to Portuguese in config file in the cfg.
Then when I choose shutdown "encerrar" or exit "sair" the screen goes black and freezes.
Then I went to the system menu and switched to English and now no longer freezes after choosing shutdown or exit.
I've switched back to Spanish in the system menu and works well with the Portuguese translation.
I noticed that the cfg in Spanish does not have the shutdown option that might be the problem.

Oh! Thank! By the way, I am not sure if this is a loader issue, ciosx issue or my HDD issue. If i leave the wii on the system menu for a long time (like 10 min) and I try to access the loader, the wii freezes during the loading screen. I have to press the power button for 5 seconds for a hard reset. I verified this happens with GX as well. The HDD is a WD Passport 150GB.

You're right, it should be recognized as a non-d2x cIOS so cfg would not try to activate block_ios_reload

This can either be a problem in Cfg Usb Loader recognizing or the identification that ModMii placed in the cIOS, right?

Can you save the debug.log and post it somewhere?
(in gui: settings / info / debug / save debug.log)

Thanks, i have checked it and i have to say it's really strange.
Are we sure this is not a bug in modmii?

btw how do you even create hermes 222 base 57?
I don't see such an option in modmii...

QUOTEHermes v5 cIOSs
202 = cIOS202[57]-v5
222 = cIOS222[38]-v5
22337 = cIOS223[37]-v5
22357 = cIOS223[57]-v5
22437 = cIOS224[37]-v5
224 = cIOS224[57]-v5

With the advanced downloads (A), it's the 224 option in slot 222.
If you want, I can post this in the ModMii forum so they can check it out.

Ok, it's a bug in modmii, the signature contains d2x.

CODE
