You can set it in the meta.xml file in the apps folder for Cfg Usb Loader, like this...

ios=248

You can do it manually in the file, or also do it with Configurator...

can you be a little more specific

xml open but dont allow me to edit the word

if i open in notepad where to i put those codes

and its called configurable loader but yet there no setting to chnage what is to default boot ????

but yet gx lader does ??

is there any link or anything of an xml i can just download???

iv tryed all of these steps

http://gwht.wikidot.com/usb-loader

but every time i open usb loader its still show 249 on the opening title screen

driving me crazy

does anyone have a pre configured xml

that will show and make usb laoder default 248

here my xml looks like AND IT STILL SHOW ON THE TITLE BOOT UP SCREEN

Configurable USB Loader

Play Wii Backups from USB harddrive
Waninkoko cIOS 249 is required!

You have two opening tags (highlighted). That's the problem. There's also a preconfigured meta.xml for you to download in the page of my tutorial that you linked above.

Hello.

Leave it like this:

CODE

Configurable USB Loader
66 (release)
20110313000000
oggzee, usptactical, gannon, Clipper,...
Play from USB drive

Play Wii Backups from USB harddrive
Waninkoko cIOS 249 is required!
Hermes cIOS 222/223 is supported.

ios=248

Open a Notepad window, copy this text inside and save it as 'meta.xml' within app directory.

First test running the app through HBC and, if it works, then try via forwarder channel. If it doesn't work, then check if your forwarder channel supports meta.xml or install the official one.

awesome it workeddddddd thank you

also for the offical forwarder channel

the link you posted where it says downloads

thos are just forwarders not channels?

i only ask as it says ios 58 is it meesing aroudn with ios 58 ?? iv never had a forwarder that has ios in the title

This forwarder uses IOS58 to run.

If you have 4.3 Wii or have installed IOS58 before (you can check with Syscheck), no issues...

Quick question! I'm trying to connect my Passport 250 Hard drive through a AC powered USB Hub!! CFG seems to not register it at all. What files would I need for it to connect to the drive. When I direct connect it there is no problem. When I try to connect from the Hub the CFG doesn't see the Hard drive. If I don't need new files, what version of CFG would be the best?

Hubs have always been an issue. Cfg won't be able to recognise the drive that way on any version.

btw I forgot to mention, there's now an easter egg hidden in cfg v66.

Thanks for the info! I'm trying use a handbanger, Lan adapter, and games on hard drive. So far no luck! So it seems I'm going to have to play with Wifi, or disc copies instead.

Try the headbanger and LAN adapter on the hub in port 1 with the drive in port 0 on its own.

use the the hub with the peripherals on the other, non-usb loader-friendly port, and the hard drive on primary one.

Ok I assume port 0 is right, and port 1 is on the left. If your Wii is standing up, and your facing the front of it. That hasn't worked at all. The drive by it's self with the hub splitting headbanger, and lan. That hasn't worked at all. The Headbanger is on with a blue light. When I get into the game there is no chat icon during gameplay or even sound.
I will try to put it backwards as in drive in the left, and the others in the right.
