Hacking Configurable USB Loader

Ok...I fell in Love with this loader today, it's awesome

. Great work! Will use it definitely sometimes

But now...I would love to make a Theme for it, basicly everything is ready, but: I forgot how to make a Widescreen BG. Can anyone help me here out? I know that you have to resize it to 640x480...but I don't know how the size must be before you resize it...

Make the canvas 853*480 pixels and create the image the way you want it. When you are done making it look good, scale to 640*480.

I think we got to a point where we decided that 800x480 -> 640x480 made a good looking widescreen in Configurable Loader.

Anyways that's what I use to make widescreen BG's (800x480 then resize to 640x480).

Widescreen uses a 16:9 ratio, so: 16 / 9 * 480 = 853.32
So, the widescreen image should be 853x480 and then scaled down to 640x480

EDIT: haha, so many respones at the same time

Coming to think about it, I think PNo4 is right, using 853 will result in a bit too squished image, so i think 800 will produce a better result.

. I've used now 800x480, and it looks good on my TV, so I guess it will also look good on others

. Now I'm making the Colors for the console, etc....should be ready (hopefully) soon.

. Can you move the Console, so to a new Coordinate? Are there other things that you can set in the Theme File than the color?

btw, you can change the pointer and the favorite image too, by supplying a different pointer.png or favorite.png in your theme directory. See the resources directory for examples.

It's realy based on the NXE Dashboard, and I think it looks realy like that, with the colors, etc...I also included the .psds, so you can make a custom BG, instead the current red one. Please give also feedback, had some problems on my TV...maybe it's just me, but I could be wrong somewhere...

Yes! I ever dump a game while background music is playing, and when the dump process is about 50% the music stopped and a 'ka ka ka' noise instead and the dump speed became very very slow. Finally I reset Wii, remove background music and re-dump the game. I think stop background music while dump game is a good idea!!

just tested and gui mode if very nice with your them, few suggestions for the normal view(whatever you want to call it lol) is add some info like what buttons does what function like

1 = game option
A = Load game
B = switch gui mode
etc.............
etc.............

like the cfg theme cause at the min it looks a bit plain, oh add aboarder round the games list to make it blend in better with the background image.....

Works perfect on my 42" Panasonic plasma. Looks great. Now to make my own background
