Gaming Computer won't turn on...

It took me 6 hours to properly lap my heatsink Thermalright 120 Extreme, and then I had to take my computer apart with the Mother Board to install the heatsink. I have a thermaltake powerpro 600Watt powersupply and a Q6600. When I put everything back together, my computer won't even respond to power... I know there are thousands of possibilities of what's wrong right now, and tried to correct them, but everything seemed fine...

Anyone have any suggestions. My computer won't even budge, I have the 24 pin powersupply connector connected along with the 8pin CPU connector.

Not sure how to short it, but no, my PS doesn't move at all...

Just get a thick piece of wire or paperclip, connecting pins 14 and 15

Now I'm almost 100% sure that it is the powersupply. I shorted it and it still won't budge at all. When I connected it, it also had a small blue lightning from the back. Thanks for the help Fishju.

Small blue lightning is never good....did you accidentally switch the voltage input switch? That will do that (I've done it once)

Is there a way of checking my system stability? I don't know if my PS broke other parts of my PC?

Absolutely nothing. That's as detailed as it gets, sorry man.

My Motherboard responds with a bluelight LED even when there is no power as long as the power suplly is connected, but now I don't even have that.

My only advice is to make sure (again...) that the PS is correctly connected to the motherboard (main connector, cpufan, etc).
Maybe take everything apart and plug it in again systematically? Try to boot the PC with only cpu, memory and graphics card installed?
I know, I'm not helping...

Wow, I just did, and the same thing happened... It is no longer the PSU's fault... I think my CPU could've possibly been fucked up... but my power supply wouldn't even move...

Wait, I don't think the CPU is at fault also, cuz the motherboard is supposed to respond first, and if CPU is fucked, it would beep I think.

Sounds like a dead motherboard.

You're right about the cpu, the motherboard will still give you beeps or some sort of warning.

Sounds like you shorted something on your motherboard, which would cause the power button to not respond to anything and cause the motherboard indicator light to be off.

same thing happened to me 2 years before,your monitor is getting power ?
if yes, its only motherboard problem!
they'v changed my mobo and it worked perfectly.
