Like Chris I have a similar problem with our PLDT 999 DSL account. I have 3 computers that all go through a LinkSys router to our DSL line. At certain times of the day the connection will suddenly crap out and the LinkSys would need to reacquire the connection; killing any streaming I'm loading at that time. This can happen as offten as every 5 seconds or so.
As I know the computers(Windows Vista and XP) do not have any infections I thought to use the uTorrent program to check the port forwarding settings which also displays the main IP Address used by the connection. I found that my connection cycles through a 58.*.*.* and 205.*.*.* address and somethimes a 128.*.*.* as well. The switch happens when I lose the connection which is unpredictable. As such it kills my Nostalgia Critic and AVGN loading streams I don't really see why out router wuold switch IP Addresses. We're planning on switching ISPs.
@Hatsu; Can you check if your IP Address is also switching on the Windows machine when you encounter the problem? Check the Lease Obtained timestamp for the IP Address if it appears to be the same IP Address.
To check IP Address: Start -> Run -> type cmd.exe -> Enter
-> At the command prompt -> ipconfig /all -> Enter ->> This should show the connection values your Windows is using, look for IP Address on XP or usually IPv4 Address on Vista and 7.
If both Mac and PC are connected via router you will need to access the router to get the IP Address information.
On a more obscure note there are some websites/download servers that do not connect well with a "unlimited" MTU setting and would just cut you off for no reason. You might want to check into that. Internet Connection Proxy settings may also be interfering with your connection.
