Hello everyone I have a quick question, is there any consensus on the best video setup between a component to HDMI converter compared to a Wii2hdmi one? I'm not particularly worried about brands and such and I know that the best thing would be some kind of upscaler/converter like ossc.

Thank you!

Can't really answer as I haven't used either, but I hope some knowledgeable user will answer. I have seen what a poor HDMI adapter will do at my sister's place, and it was pretty ugly. As bad as using a composite cable. They had a TV with component input, and the image was really good playing games on the Wii. When they replaced the TV with another one, no component input was available, and they got this HDMI adapter. What a horrible downgrade! I wouldn't be surprised if their HDMI adapter was just converting the worst signal the Wii can output.

That's exactly my problem haha I have the feeling whatever i'll pick just won't be as simple and as good ! Couldn't they leave us just one analogic input :')

Unfortunately, component input is probably a thing of the past. We need to find an HDMI adapter that specifically converts the component signal, or RGB signal if the Wii can output it.
