Hacking Completely new to CFW

Before I get started on trying to convert my new 3ds xl to a hacked 3ds, I need to know if I can still play games like Pokemon Ultra sun and have the same save file. If I could still be able to connect online and play multiplier with my friends. I also wanted to know if I would be able to play online and multiplayer with my friends if I downloaded my games through freeshop or something. Also, what I should avoid to stop myself from getting banned in an instant. And finally, what game I should download for $2 to seedmine my 3ds if that's what it is called.

1. Go to System Settings, then “Internet Settings”, then “SpotPass”, then “Sending of System Information”
2. Disable the “Sending of System Information” option
3. Exit the System Settings
4. Go to your Friend List (the orange Face Icon in the top row of your Home Menu)
   • If you receive an error and are kicked out of the menu, the Friend List setting is either already disabled or your console cannot connect to Nintendo’s servers (due to a ban or connection issues)
5. Go to the Friend List settings, then “Friend Notification Settings”, then “Show friends what you’re playing”
6. Disable the “Show friends what you’re playing” option
7. Exit your Friend List

firstly google 3ds hacks guide and follow the instructions. And once you backup pokemon you can use the homebrew app "checkpoint" to access the save data on the gamecart, copy it and apply it to the game backed up on the sd.
