    SD:
    Pros:
    Is very fast (uhs only?)
    Is not bulky
Does not ask you to format (Wii U only)
    No external box
No need for Y-cable/external power (Wii U only)

    Cons:
    Easy to lose
May be expensive than USB storage media in your area
Cannot use with games that require SD (at time of writing)
Up to 2TB (at time of writing)

    USB:
    Pros:
Cheaper than other storage media in most areas
    Not easy to lose
Supports more than 2TB (partition may have to be split)
    Supports multiple file systems

    Cons:
    May be bulky
    Is a seperate box
    May require external power/Y-cable
Asks for format (Wii U only)

    This information is inaccurate.
    - SD cards are slow. Even fast ones are still slower than a HDD
    - Currently they're not available in sizes anywhere near 2TB and the sizes they are available in are rather inadequate for Wii games
    - They're far more expensive than HDDs everywhere

    Also another con for HDDs:
    - Break rather easily if dropped

yeah, i'll update this soon (using the edit button with a Wii U screws up all the line breaks)
