i have finished MS1 with one coin too... and MSAdvance (hehe), but i agree, MS3 is the best on of the saga, and the harder too (and even more so, if you play for score).

i dont know... i may end up puttin every MS game (teh neogeo ones) onto my EZ5 next week... is just that i already have them on my PSP, so i dont know yet.

PFFT... Metal Slug games are easy... ive managed to pass metal slug one 2 and x with one coin.... Lol i think metal slug 4 in 3 coins...
Back to main topic: DS should have more of these shoot em ups... you can never have enough metal slug!!!

Lets see....

Metal slug 1: Too easy

Metal slug 2: Still too easy

Metal slug X: Bit harder than 2, but still easy

Metal slug 4: Probably the easiest.

Honestly, you can't say it's easy until you beat the 3rd......

The third is the longest, and the most frustrating out of the whole franchise. It's the best/longest/hardest Metal Slug, and I'm very sure almost all of Metal slug fans agree.

i agree... MS3 its the best of the franchise in every aspect, but i wouldnt call the others "easy" since they take quite some practice to 1CC... even more so, if you play for score (like i do).

I think it's safe to say Mavericks have invaded Metal Slug World

Well it is still nowhere to found in stores over here, most are saying they're getting it this Friday.

May I recommend a few games? If you have means to play GBA get these ones, these will tie you over:

CT Special Forces 2: Back To Hell

CT Special Forces 3: Bioterror

Those two are very Metal Slug, though not as frantic they are very good games and very varied as there are other styles of game in there like top down shooter & sniper rifle shooting. The first game is pretty good too but kinda ruined by a lack if directional shooting.

Alien Hominid

Not as good as the console game but still fun.

Turok Evolution

Much much better than the console version, kinda easy though.

Of course there are Contra 4 DS and GBA has Metal Slug Advance though that one was just OK.

Hadrian--

Ct Special Forces looks great!!

I just wish I had the emulator for my DS... the link is gone from the emulation forum.

NVM... GBA don't work in slot 1...

What slot 2 do you guys recommend... cheap, white, and works

EZ flash 3-in-1.

Anywho,i REALLY want this game now!
I might play through the first metal slug later.

Also,I think the first is the best, even if it is too easy/
Second to that is MS3.

those GBA games looks pretty darn good... all i have to do now is flash them to my flashcart, and play them on my GBA SP!!!.... didnt know those games existed.

Oh yeah forgot another great GBA run & gun:

Lilo & Stitch

One of those games you'd expect to be total crap but is excellent.

Gonna start putting forgotten GBA gems into my release threads soon.

What about invincible iron man for the gba, its pretty fun, although you can't shoot up/down/diagonally towards enemies?

I was thinking about getting a ez flash 3 in 1... but it seems complicated to use. I was going to order this http://www.dealextreme.com/search.dx/searc...sh%203%20in%201

What do you think? Do I just load up gba roms into my slot 1 and play it from there? I'm totally confused

as far as i know, theres no way you could play GBA games form Slot-1 solutions... you need a Slot-2 solution for that... and any (??) proven Slot-2 solution will do.

i myself have an XGFlash 2, bought it like 4 years ago, and i have just flashed those games onto it, and gave them a go... pretty cool imo. not as frantic as MS, but they will keep me busy for some time (is not like i have all day to play games... just a couple mins-hours per day).

You can never play GBA games on a slot-1 device.

You'll probably want the 3-in-1 or something. Don't go for the EZFlash 4 compact lite...that things confusing and isn't made for gba stuff =]

Hmm,i didn't see it at any game shops near me,and sites like amazon and play have got it listed as a preorder.
Maybe it'll come out tomorrow,so will hopefully get a rom by saturday/sunday.
