The two things are functionally equivalent so... yeah.

There *might* be sometime in the *far* future a release that can do that, but it will be far removed from the now that you'll be worried about either grandchildren or the new Kanto remake for the Pokémon games on the Switchcube 1024 brain-implanted VR 3000X instead.

The switch has basically been checked front to back for any security vulnerabilities with no known exploit that could help with this. Only way to coldboot is using a modchip or a dongle.
