I'll definitely be getting this. I love beat em ups, and the online is a nice addition. :)
Not to mention Atlus always gets my moniez.

First off, it's been posted here before.
The game's artwork isn't anything amazing, and the gameplay is generic. The story seems mediocre to me too. The only reason anyone really wants it is because it has partially nude girls. Admit it.

Or maybe the fact its a spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes? Not sure how the gameplay is generic either, exactly how many unique Beat Em Up's have we seen in the past few years? The fact its handheld AND has Online makes it even better and better

I was lucky enough to get this preordered $10 off on Newegg (expired promo code, sorry!) I can't wait to play online co-op with some internet friends.

I hate that people are dissing it and calling it generic only on the fact that there is a girl on the cover.(Ok, only read two people who said this, but still. Guess the other person.) Like the people who are saying this, probably haven't been following the game.

Anyway, not only is it a Beat 'em up, it has a Online VS mode too. That sealed it.
I'm getting the pre-order bonus.

...FINE.

Nah, that's just some bonus eye candy. Beat em ups can be generic, but sometimes all you wanna do is smash up masses of enemies. How else could anyone play through a Samurai Warriors game?

It looks OK, maybe if they release a demo I'll try it but this isn't a day 1 purchase for me. Is it just me or are developers running out of ideas for game titles that don't sound badly translated?

I admit it. The only reason I tolerate any sort of gameplay is in the hopes of seeing partial nudity.
If only there was some sort of way of viewing nudity without tolerating gameplay...

I really just dont see the charm in this game, it looks kinda crap even for a beat-em-up, I gotta side with Janth on this one. I think most people are just getting lured in by the eye
-candy, or the fact Altus is the developer.

Atlus are publishing this. They're not the developer.

Thats even worse!

I picked this up a few days ago. If you like beat-em ups, this is a fun game. Excellent translation, tons of humor and homages within the game, and what's insane is it is fully voiced (English only, from as far as I can tell). It took ~6 hours to complete the story line with the main character, but there are quite a few characters to play as, and tons of different items to collect. Plus the online co-op and versus.

That's probably because it's an Action RPG. And I doubt it has anything to do with the aesthetics, especially since on the cover she's mostly covered up and in the videos they don't actually emphasize her scantily clad apparel. It's been getting almost nothing but praise from the critics (not that I say one should go by reviews alone, but it's a convenient for such an example).

Either way, I'm interested. I'm a fan of ARPGs, and this one looks pretty good.

When I first saw this game I though it was an RPG, actually. Watching the videos, it looks like it might be one of those really button-mashing kinds of games. I like beat-em-ups well enough but I prefer them to be like Final Fight or the Arkham games, where it's slower paced but there's more thinking and strategizing involved. Having said that, I haven't played this yet so I'm reserving judgment. I may pick this up if the price drops between cheap and dirt cheap though, as I've still got a lot of (good) games waiting to be played.
