    Yay, more Plastic Attachments.

No really. This is stupid. I think the classic controller is good enough already. :S

I thought it was already confirmed a while ago.

Didn't Nintendo lose the rights to manufacture any further Classic Controllers? Hence the revision. I didn't pick up the original classic controller yet, but maybe I'll pass on it to see if this one is more comfortable.

How could they lose the right to manufacture those controllers? I'm not suggesting anything, mind you, I just find that... curious at least. Anyway, this is a Classic Controller with a better grip. Yep. That's it, isn't it? I already have a GameCube Controller. I think I'll pass on this one, specially since it will need to be attached to the WiiMote. I f'ing hate my batteries being drained for nothing. Now, if it were to be plugged directly into the console...

If it was wireless, it'd be interesting. But it's not, so I still find it useless.

Uhh that is pretty much impossible, seeing as how the Classic Controller design is based off the SNES controller only with 2 control sticks as an addition. If anything, other controllers are a rip off of all of Nintendo's controller designs in the past, seeing as how the PS controllers were basically SNES pads with handles on them and eventually had analog sticks.

    From Wikipedia:

Anascape Ltd, a Texas-based firm, also filed a lawsuit against Nintendo for patent infringements regarding Nintendo's controllers. A July 2008 verdict found that a ban would be issued preventing Nintendo from selling the Classic Controller in the United States. Nintendo is free to continue selling the Classic Controller pending an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Couldn't they just make a five dollar attachment for the old one as well? It has that button for an attachment on the back.

Well obviously they appealed it and are able to sell them now aren't they? Obviously there wasn't much of a patent infringement that they had to can production of the classic controllers.

Edit: Nintendo appealed the 21 million dollar settlement and had it reduced. I have not even the slightest fucking clue who Anascape is though, seems like a small company who really doesn't do anything in gaming shouldn't go around filing lawsuits against Nintendo and Microsoft for copyright infringement based on bullshit claims, the Wavebird is based off the fricking wired GC controller, seems a bit retarded to me
