Hardware Classic 3DS firmware

I have been searching for a couple hours now, and yes, I have seen the wiki thread regarding this issue. But to be as straightforward as possible: if I buy a classic 3DS (no bundle), will it come with a firmware 4.5 or lower? As in, do classic 3DS's even exist with a firmware above that straight out of the box?

many 3ds consoles come with over 4.5 out of the box its all luck of the draw really. Ur luck is also gonna run out the longer u wait.

there might be a serial number on the box, indicating the production date. maybe someone somewhere has already compiled a list, which indicates the year and thus possible firmware version...

Imo, the GW is not worth it yet, for several reasons:
Compatibility issues, online not working, old firmware requirement, no homebrew yet, 3DS brick risk and few fantastic 3DS games out there (compared to older consoles/handhelds).

Thank you for all the feedback, it provided some interesting insight.

On the other hand, I recently came across a Luigi's Mansion bundle... well, that one is pretty certain to have 4.5, I think...? And it looks pretty good.

if you buy 3DS on a less gaming country, you'll get 2.0 or even 1.1 3DS
