Hacking cIOS38_rev14-Installer not installing

You need to tell us more info. Did you update to System Menu 4.2?

Download and run the application "SignCheck".

If SignCheck says your IOS250 version is 65280 (or 0xFF00), then it is a stub, and that's why it doesn't work.

Yeah its 4.2U just ran the update got hbc up and bootmii, just cant run the cios isntaller.
 
You'll have to run AnyTitle Deleter and delete the stub IOSes 222, 223, 249, and 250. Don't delete anything else though!

Okie Dokie, Thanks for all your help the other night. I got it figured out. Sigh* Wii's are so tricky!
 
a stub IOS is an IOS with DUMMY data and therefore NOT functional anymore.

it's an attempt to prevent installing stuff on your wii..
