fixed your post...on a syscheck posted yesterday, you were on rev17....

in that thread, you repeatedly ignored all advice, then ????, then started this thread....

as suggested earlier (in this thread and in your prior thread), rehack with modmii...

EDIT: what cIOS are you launching your loader on...if it's 222 or 223, those are both HERMES rev4 (according to your syscheck)....installing any version of 249 won't change that....

sry about that,

but i did rehack with modmii and still loading from ver4 .
im running off of 223.
and ur right i hav no clue what im doing lol :s
i just would to know what im doing wrong . "(
i guess i really dont know what to look for exactly in modmii as the file needed. sry
cause i honestly dont see cIOS38 rev 14 in modmii .

He was on rev17 then he just followed a randomly two years old tutorial (it's the easiest way to brick your wii !!).

@jbogart1973:
I told you yesterday, Don't follow random tutorial when you already have users helping you, don't post new topic when you already have someone helping you, just READ a lot before doing anything, and be patient until someone answer your question (there are a lot of users and we don't have all the same time zone).

Understand what you are doing instead of doing all things in incorrect order thinking it will magically work.
Do only what users are telling you, don't improvise actions thinking you are doing it right. If you don't know what you are doing, 50% chance it's not the right thing to do.

If it's still using rev4, it's because USBloaderGX is not set correctly.
Delete all your config files on SD card, and download USBloaderGX v2.2

Also : You don't need cIOS 38 rev14 !
Just forgot that thing from the past. It was used two years ago.

my apologies for the double posts.
ok iv see the USBloaderGX v2.2 download page and also see it for ios 249, 222 and 250 . which one should i use ? and thx again for ur help .

Install d2xv6 or later cIOS first like this:

cIOS d2xv6 249 Base 56 for all games and USB loaders
cIOS d2xv6 250 Base 57 for COD and other games requiring Base 57 IOS.

You can get the installer here:
http://gbatemp.net/t277659-ciosx-rev21d2x-...another-hot-fix

Remove all USBLoader GX files from SD card and install the latest version.
Same goes for any other loader.

Done.

USBloaderGX v2.2 ios 249, 222 or 250 ? or does it really matter ?

249, 222 and 250 are just the cioses used by the loader to start itself up.

249 needs a 249 cIOS (like cIOS d2xv6 249 Base 56)
222 needs a 222 cIOS installed (like Hermes cIOS 222 v5 Base 38)
250 needs a 250 cIOS installed (like cIOS d2xv6 250 Base 57)

In the past cIOS 222 worked better with some incompatible drives, but recent changes with d2x makes d2x a better cios.
Recently Rodies made a MOD for cIOS 222 to make it even more compatible with drives, but d2x is more compatible with games.
Rodies and Davebaol are now creating a new cios with d2x and Rodies mod combined, it's in beta stage.
See: http://gbatemp.net/t277659-ciosx-rev21d2x-...another-hot-fix

To be short: If you have cIOS d2xv6-249 installed use the 249 version

ok so i did the ios ile instal and 4 files did not instal
ios37 64 v5662
ios56 64 v5661
ios57 64 v5918
ios58 64 v6175
ok i think they instaled now i went into mod manager and had no error reports after wards.

Why are you installing IOS37, 56, 57, 58 ? nobody told you about installing these IOS. I told you, don't do thing by yourself that nobody told you to do.
You have to install "d2x cIOS 249" only and select "BASE 56" when asked. Don't install anything else, except if it's from modmii's generated tutorial.

1- Run d2x installer

2- Select IOS236 on the second screen "Working IOS". (if you don't have IOS236, select IOS249)

3- Then select :
* cIOS d2x v6
* Base 56
* Slot 249

4- Install.

Now stop installing cIOS. you don't need anything else.

5- Delete on your SD card all these folders :
SD:/config/
SD/apps/usbloader_gx/

6- Download USBLoaderGX 2.2 version 249 (this is the IOS slot you just installed on step 4, so this is the IOS that USBloaderGX will use to run).

7- Place the boot.dol in SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol

8- Connected your USB drive, and run USBloaderGX

Play, enjoy, etc.
Don't install/hack/change anything else on your wii.
You didn't need anything else, it was that easy.

Could not describe it any better!
