Hi, all, I am somewhat new to posting in this forum but I've gotten a lot of good info from here over the years. I've spent the whole week trying to solve this problem but haven't found an answer yet. I've had my original 4.3U Wii softmodded for a long time and using USBLoaderGX to play games from a usb drive. I've never had any problem with games as they were originally released and I mostly play Mario, Skylanders, and Wii Sports. This is my first time attempting to play modded Wii games, specifically Mario Kart Retro Rewind and NSMB Retro Remix. I didn't know about them until a couple of weeks ago and I'd really like to try these. For MK RR I've followed the tutorial here several times to patch my iso file but I can't get the resulting file to work. No matter what I try it either returns me to the Wii home screen or hangs on a black screen. NSMB RR is a pre-patched .wbfs I found online instead of patching my iso and I get the same result. My MK and NSMB isos are ripped from my own discs, and for MK I also tried patching an un-modded .wbfs found elsewhere, but still no joy. I've tried with the channel forwarder and directly from USBLGX. I've tried running from two different flash drives and two different SD cards, all formatted as FAT32. And I've tried two different versions of USBLGX, 3.0r1281 that I've been using for a long time and a recent download of 4.0r1283. The same usb drives and SD cards have no problem playing un-modded games such as original Mario Kart or Wii Sports, including with both USBLGX versions. Is there any cios that is required for modded games to work? I have an old file from the syscheck app if you need to what cios I have installed. My Wii was softmodded with LetterBomb and Hackmii 0.8. I can say that I have d2x-v10-beta52, and since this syscheck report I've only added PriiLoader 0.10.0 and updated Homebrew Channel from 1.0.8 to 1.1.4.

I wanted to post this when this port was stable enough to release, but thought I would share this before someone keeps asking for this. So a couple months ago, I started porting Xash3D to the Wii. I figured that with the engine now having big endian support and the Wii having SDL2 and an OpenGL wrapper, it should be easier to port it than what the previous attempt had to work with. I still had to patch some stuff (using the Dreamcast port as reference) in order to statically link the game's libraries, as libogc doesn't have any form of dll loading. Other than that, most stuff is already working out of the box, but there's still lots to be done. To-do list: Fix saving and loading save files (mostly loading in general) Network support Hardware acceleration via OpenGX Wiimote + Nunchuck support (with QuakeGX aiming) Screenshots below are running in software rendering, as compiling the engine with opengx makes the binary too big to fit into memory

cIOS USB2 not properly working on System Menu 3.2E

Uhm, yeah, hello. So I was trying to install the cIOS USB2 thing, and since I had System Menu 4.0E (updated with Waninkoko's updater) installed I downgraded it by using the AnyRegionChanger (Didn't change my region, just downgraded to SM 3.2E; also made an NAND backup with BootMii). So now I try to install the cIOS USB2 (beta3 installer), but it seems the installer has problems connecting to the Internetz. The problem is, I'm using an USB LAN adapter (doesn't even start blinking when trying to connect to the network when installing cIOS USB2) to connect because WLAN is a bitch to me, and now when I think about it, I doubt the USB LAN adapter could connect to the Internet if I actually manipulate the USB drive in the same moment. Is my assumption true and DO I need to use WLAN which connects in like 1 of 100 cases?

Or are there any alternatives? For example, I could successfully install cIOS36 rev10 one time (Though it's not installed anymore because one time I needed to use my NAND backup which was made before the installation), I doubt it has anything to do with cIOS USB2 though. Does it?
