Can we use a distro to do this, if so which one

I dont have Linux installed

you will need any "distro" of linux for the wbfs tool.

your best bet if you have never run linux is to go with ubuntu or mandriva, both are fairly noob friendly..

just dont go blowing away your windows partition or you will be SOL...although i would recommend staying away if you have never run linux before as this is not a gui application you can just "click and point"

as the readme says

"Before using wbfs tool, you must format your harddrive. use the tool gparted from linux.
make a new primary partition of type "unformatted"
If you dont know how to do it, then wbfs in its current form is not for you, forget it or you will lose data. Sorry."

Earthworm, read through the topic.

@someone who's currently using the program;

Can i just use a live version of linux to make a bootdisk instead of formatting my hard drive? I'm not new to linux, but I strongly prefer windows because of the apps available.

Also, cIOS USB beta3 fails to install.
The error goes by so fast I can't read it.
I'm using System Menu 4.0U

Readme said you needed admin power so type in "sudo" before your command.

Ex:
sudo ./wbfs ls
