You'll have to give more information so people can help you??

what sort of wii do you have e.g. LU64???
do you have homebrew channel installed??

he's obviously got hbc installed, or he wouldn't be getting error returns trying to install a cIOS... just sayin.. ;P

If my issue is not Trucha related what is it then that keeps giving me various errors such as 2011 and 1017?

Just as many of the people here have told you. You need to run Trucha Bug Restorer and patch your IOS 36.

Run TBR
Load IOS 36
Downgrade IOS 15 (Get IOSes from NUS - wifi)
Run TBR
Load IOS 15
Patch IOS 36 (Get IOSes from NUS - wifi)
Run TBR
Load IOS 36
Restore IOS 15 (Get IOS from NUS - wifi)
Run cIOS installer
Load IOS 36 for the install.

Error -2011 is a trucha issue. This will fix it.

I always find running IOS downgrader fixes most errors on installs. I have run this little Gem on loads of Wiis and everthing seems to work afterwards and no errors when running homebrew. The only system I havn't tested it on is system menu 4.1.

IOS downgrader

Tried this on my 4.0e Wii and it dowgraded the IOS's but when it restarted my system menu was in black and white and had to preform a nand restore to get the colours back.

Are you sure it's safe to use???

Wow, if you had a boot2v4 Wii, you could have a nice full brick now.

Please get into your head that downgrade == brick on new Wiis, only execptions are not "important" IOS if they are downgraded seperatly, like IOS15 or IOS35. While the IOS35 downgrade works on boot2v4 Wiis, doesn't brick, but the downgraded IOS35 is not useable on these.

I'd stay away from anything that has the word "Downgrader" in the title. Trucha Bug Restorer is as safe as it gets because it only makes changes to 2-3 IOS max. IOS Downgrader downgrades all IOS under 38 I believe which is completely unnecessary for the purpose.

***EDIT***
Darn it. WiiPower beat me by 1 minute

Still has nothing to do with boot2. But yeah if it's a LU64+ Wii he is pretty bricked right now.

wasn't worried about my Wii having a boot2v4 cause my Wii is as old as they get. and of course have bootmii in boot2 and have a several nand backup's to restore from

Guess I have just been lucky, I have run IOS downgrader on 11 Wiis and never had an issue. Most were 3.3 or 3.4 and a few have been custom 4.0 installs. I didn't realise this could brick newer Wiis.
