Hacking CIAs install & Emunand backup getting slower

I just installed a 3gb CIA and that took like 3h on my new 3DS as opposed to 40mins on my regular 3DS. I'm doing an emunand backup right now just to be safe, but do you think it is SD related ? Or is there another solution that doesn't involve buying another card ? thanks

wow 3 hours thats a lot , i dont keep track of time when i install CIAs but its around 15-20mn for 2-3gb also my 3ds is slower to boot since i got a bigger sd card maybe thats your problem

SD Card problem for sure. 3GB files take 15-20 mins for me.
