ROM Hack Cia import failed. This cia is invalid (0xD8E0806A)

I'm trying to convert a game I edited to a cia and install it.
I ripped my smash bros cart and decrypted, unpacked, edited and recompiled it back to a. 3ds file and put it on my gateway. The game along with the edit I did worked well so I wanted to install it. So I made xorpads and converted it to a cia file. But when I try to install it in rxTools Emunand I get that error at the very end of the installation at 100%
Cia import failed. This cia is invalid (0xD8E0806A)
That's In bigbluebox.
As for fbi it says

Installed failed
Could not install app
Raw error 0xD8E0806A
Module:am (0x20)
Level: permanent (0x1b)
Summary: invalid argument (0x7)
Description: Invalid signature (0x6a)


My guess is because the cia is not signed? How do I get around it?

did u try it on gw emunand?

Try devmenu and maybe an older version of FBI? (1.4.2 was pretty good). If the issue persists then maybe something went wrong with the conversion to CIA :/

well, the modified cia must trigger some keys or not signed propertly....
so it becomes invalid keys..
normal cfw won't let u install invalid key cia

btw, if a invalid cia installed in emunand, those cfw won't be able boot in again. unless u uninstall it.
so, stay with gw

seems to work for me in CFW for me..
i installed edited smash bros in GW mode then i went back to RXtools and its working fine.

only thing that happened is the manual button is gone for this game on main menu, nothing big.
