ROM Hack Chrono Trigger (E) Freezes

Hey

I was wondering if there was a patch for Chrono Trigger on DS. Basically, it freezes every time I use the X-strike tech ability.

I'm assuming this is due to S-E's security crap?

I use an M3i Zero cartridge.

Edit: It also seems to freeze after the Yakra boss battle.



I managed to enable the gamefix in the cheats option and I think it sorted out the problem.

But I use save states and I don't think cheats are enabled when you use save states?

Is there a way to patch the ROM itself or to get cheats enabled while using save states?
