I hear ya man. I got no problem paying for games, but a game that I bought 12 years ago? I will buy it when it hits $20 (and paying $20 I would consider being generous).

Alright, so, I fixed my SD memory card format issue. Hurray! But I'm still having issues with the Chrono Trigger ROM. I downloaded the new cheat compilation from Narin and a clean CT rom. It worked once. Now every time I try to load the CT rom it hangs on the DSTT menu screen. The top says loading and the bottom freezes (the little "loading" icon stops spinning.) Not only that, but it freezes ALL of my roms at the menu screen and I have to delete everything and then load the card again.

Anybody know anything about this issue?

If your DS is set to german it will use the JAPANESE texts!

I bet its the same with other languages!

You first need to set the DS to english!!

I hate people with 4500 posts where half of them contain false info

Settle down litttle lady. Seriously I think you may need a nap. Anyway I am gonna agree with Destructobot about the text thing.

THX2501 - Sorry that you are having issues, I don't personally own a "DSTT" so I can not help you out with that situation, tho you may want to invest in a Flashcart that cost more then a Happy Meal. (I personally have A M3DS Real and it works fantastic for everything I have used it for).

Thanks, but I think I got the problem sorted. I think it has something to do with the cheats, everytime I try to use any cheat this happens. So, as long as I stay out of the cheat menu, I should be fine. The only thing that sucks is I can't play the CT rom. Oh well, it'll do for now.

My deepest apologies, I was just repeating what I'd read elsewhere. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me someday. You do not need to set the DS to English though, as the game does have a language option. The DS's language setting only affects which language the game defaults to.

Now please point out the 2250 incorrect posts I've made so I can go back and correct them. I'd hate for all that incorrect info to keep contaminating the boards.

I have the patch working on my M3 Perfect, but now I'm having trouble getting the no$gba save file I converted to work with my flashcard. I played through the story and all the extra content to take screenshots with No$gba, and converted the file to M3 type with the shunyweb converter but simply replacing the .dat file in my NDSSAVE folder isn't working, and my M3 manager crashes when I try to use the saver manager option for some reason. Anyone here have a tip for me to get this to work? I've done it before with plenty of other files, but not one like this.

I am not sure what the problem would be (As I don't use No$GBA). Tho I will look into it for you right now, and will (hopefully) have an answer for you very shortly.

Tho if you want it, I have a .sav file (from my M3DS Real) that I could upload for you. I am 10hrs into the game in 65,000,000 BC. I am just at the entrace to the Reptile Lair (After getting past the forest maze). I already have the masamune blade, Hilt, and the Hero's Badge.

Nah, if I can't use my save I'll just have to start over. I imagine if I could get the saver manager working then I'd be able to fix this, but even on the other computer it crashed on me.

Also no rush, I have to go to work in 30 minutes and won't be home for about 7 hours after this post

Ok so I have used the patch (and I know that it works just fine). Tho my question is, now that I have patched it, will I be able to trim the rom (from 128mb down to 86.1mb) I had a trimmed version before but the patch would not work on a pre-trimmed rom.

and if I do trim it, am I going to lose my save data or anything? (I am far enough into the game that it would not be worth it to save like 40mb in exchange to have to start the game all the way over).

i would like to know why is it that when i use the patch it makes the rom smaller?? it doesn't even work and shouldn't it make the file bigger when it has been patched?? i have the USA version of chrono trigger by the way.
