Okay, so I took the original ROM, used the cheat, ran it through DSATM, and got another ROM file, arm7.bin and arm9.bin. I have a R4.

I then used DSLazy to unpack the original ROM, and replaced both arm7.bin and arm9.bin of the original, and then repacked it. I left the .nds file that was created by DSATM alone.

I now find that the game is 81.0 MB in size, but works perfectly. I have not experienced the endless time warp bug, and I got through the Cathedral dungeon with Frog.

I just want to know 3 things: Did I do things right, and if not, will this be a problem? Have other people also wound up with a smaller file, and if so, does it negatively impact the game? (Missing movies or parts of the game).

Thanks for your responses!

Basically, when you patched it, it automatically trimmed the ROM for you. It just didn't write in all the padding most DS games have in their file.

If you don't know about ROM trimmers.......then you MUST go to this thread:

It really saves you a lot of space on your flashchart and works great.

Thanks for the response! You guys and this forum are super awesome.

Trimming ALL your ds roms is a good idea. You would be surprised how much space is created by doing that. The more games that fit, the better!

I just used the program suggested, and trimmed my entire folder. Wow, I saved 130 MB of space off my card! Thanks everyone!
