I'm wondering if it is technically possible to create an app (or payload rather) that would update firmware partitions on emunand and sysnand without actually booting into them.

The reason i see this as useful is i use emunand and update with choidujournx no problems. However to update my sysnand which i use online i have to update officially then re-enable autorcm each time.

Would love to hear why or why not this could or couldn't be done.

That's literally ChoiDujour

Ok maybe i didn't word is simple enough... An RCM firmware installer that writes firmware from sd in a similar way to choidujournx but from RCM. So not needing a pc (other than to obtain firmware) and not having to run through the manual steps that can potentially brick your switch if you have fat fingers.

I think he means "is it possible to create a ChoiDujour payload?"
I have a feeling that this guy accidently updated his Switch and can't boot into CFW anymore.

If it was possible to run ChoiDujour as a payload then it might also be possible to downgrade without access to CFW or a NAND dump.

I have no ideá if it's possible or not though.
