Hello ,

Anybody has the script of the game Chobits - Atashi Dake No Hito (J)?
I was thinking of translating but I can't extract it from the ROM.

I've had this sitting around on my machine for years... It seems to have disappeared from the internet so its lucky I still have a copy of this... http://www.mediafire.com/?s5z7y8eldwexqua its a program a friend (Kawa) wrote a few years ago to help edit the text in this game. Looking at it now though its fairly limited and if you want a more accurate translation let me know and I'll see if i can't get a better dump of the script.

It is a great help. Thank you.
I expected the dump script, but this program helps a lot.
And how lucky that you still had it on your PC.
But if you have a better dump of the script. It would be better.

... Hello. What's up with the translation? I wanna see a translation of that game myself, so... What's with the translation?

I thought these files were lost a long time ago, nice to see this thread with a working mediafire link. To be sure this info doesn't get lost even if the link goes down, I took a look at the files in it, and thanks to them I can see the text in plain with a hex editor like Crystal Tile 2 (https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/818/) using the normal shift-jis table (https://www.romhacking.net/documents/179/)
You can check that going to any of the offsets showed in the tool, like for example 4F034 Where the script starts (before that you can see menu texts)

[Files from mediafire attached to this message so they don't get lost]
