Homebrew CHMM/CHMM2 not working

Update: I kept trying lower versions until I got to one that worked (either 1.4 or 1.3 I don't remember). It finally ran but couldn't find any themes, so in addition to having the 'Themes' folder in the root of the card I also put that folder inside of the CHMM folder and voila. JUst thought I'd let you guys know. Thank you to everyone that offered help/advice. :)

Also @JJTapia19 I think I am going to look into reinand sometime this week. I was just a tad bit hesitant about doing it just yet because the whole having 2 nands thing is still kinda confusing haha.

Update #2: I think I may have figured out why the newer versions weren't working for me. I read that some homebrews don't play nice with ninjhax 2, so maybe CHMM 2 would work fine with ninjhax 1? I'll redo the ninjhax process tomorrow and use the first one instead of ninjhax 2 and see where that gets me. Also I'm probably gonna try and shoot for Reinand sometime this weekend. Still reading up on it. Wish me luck! Haha

Update #3: Just wanted to update you guys on what happened. So I went back and installed ninjhax 1 and CHMM 2 works just fine now. Only thing is that I forgot ninjhax 1 wasn't region free (which was my whole reason for getting sky in the first place) haha. So needless to say I'll be going back to ninjhax 2 unless I decide to install a cfw with region free sometime this weekend/next week. Thank you again to everyone that took the time to read this thread/help out! Greatly appreciated!!

Hello all, hope everyone's having a great day. I was hoping someone could lend a bit of help/insight as to why I can't for the life of me get CHMM to work. Just got my sky3ds today for my N3DS ver. 9.1.0-20J. sky3ds --> cubic ninja --> homebrew. so far, so good. I went to download CHMM2 (I also tried the earlier version) and place the files in the proper directories on my microSD card. filenames matching folder names and everything. CHMM2 appears in the homebrew menu, but as soon as I run it I get a red screen on the bottom, some code on the top (for about half a second), and then nothing but two black screens. At this point I can't do anything. Pressing Home, Power, anything, just does absolutely nothing. I have to perform a hard shutoff (holding down the power button). Again, with the correct files in the correct folders, and even the most recent boot.3dsx from smea, I don't see why it's not working. If anyone could at least point me in the right direction I'd certainly be grateful. Thanks you in advance.

Edit: I've been searching for answers for the past hour or so, and I'm still looking. So I don't want anyone to think that I'm just waiting to be spoon-fed the answers. I have no problem doing research of my own for problem solving, but right now I've got nothing, and I'm not any closer to finding what's wrong.
I'm having the same issues here as well! I'm using a normal 2ds with firmware 11.0.0 and use Basehaxx to get to homebrew. There were no tutorials out there so I set up CHMM2 based on what I've done with past programs(PCHex). I have the CHMM2 8 folder with the CHMM-master folder inside of it and all that going inside the 3ds folder in my sd. In Homebrew I run CHMM.3dsx which is inside the CHMM2 8 folder and I get the black top screen and red bottom screen. It stays like this until I hard reset the system. Maybe I'm doing it wrong (probably am), or it's something wrong with CHMM2 I don't know. If it is something I messed up, I would like to know how to properly run the program.
