ROM Hack Cheats on 3DS?

Hello. I have a CFW'd old 3DS with rxTools. I been seeing people talk about cheat codes for the 3DS, but how do I enter these in? I have no flashcard.

You can use the NTR CFW by loading it after you're in emunand on your normal CFW, then run the game and use the appropriate cheat.plg with it

No you don't. You can use cheat codes on the NTR CFW.

There's spider or NTR. Gateway is better, I agree.

you can convert Gateway codes to C for NTR cheat plugins and there is now a live memory viewer for NTR debugger. so no more advantage of having Gateway over CFW when it comes to cheats. no more dumping RAM as with the right tool it can all be done on a computer and 3ds with NTR debugger activated.

also you can run NTR on top of any CFW emuNAND - except maybe Gateway unless a Gateway owner proves me otherwise.

yeah i own gateway and i can use both NTR cfw on gateway emuNAND (using both gateway cheats and ntr cheats at the same time)

i use both NTR and arcode.

to use NTR, first look up the game, not all games are supported but some members here make codes.

sites to look up NTR code files, NTR codes are in PLG format.

(none of the sites in english, but just use google translate)

get the game id from the release notes for the game, then make a folder with the game id and place the cheat files inside, they should go on the root of your sd card in your plugin folder.

sounds hard but its not, go to site click on the codes you want, then place the cheat files in your plug in folders, each game needs it own folder.

boot the NTR (it will be on your homescreen and run it like you would any other game, you get a black screen and it will hack your system when it finishes it will say finished home button), you then load up any game either retail or games with games you installed with FBI, screen will flash green for a second after loading a game that tells you that the game is hacked, hit Y+X it will bring up the cheat menu, you then click on the codes you want to activate, some games however require you to do button combinations like start+1 etc... which should be listed on the cheat webpages.

to find your own cheats I'd actually suggest you use this tool: https://github.com/valarnin/NTRRemoteDebugger/releases
It's better for "live" editing. Real live editing like the WiiU has with Cafiine doesn't work with NTR. But that tool is better at searching for values.
