I figured i'd post this because it's a pretty good deal for a Class 10 Micro SD.

$10.99 at newegg for a 4GB MicroSD Class 10.

I know that 4GB isn't huge but for a Class 10 it's a pretty good price.

Sorry if this is under the wrong area or against any forum rules. Just trying to help people save a little money. :-)

It's the most random combo ever. It's like if a grocery store put coupons out

"Buy a Iams 15kg Dog Food and save $8.00 off a Panasonic 50'' LCD 3D TV."

I have one of these for my Acekard - works great, not as fast as you might expect to copy files over but works perfectly.
Only cost me $8.99 with free shipping on eBay from this seller.
Not sure if he still has them - I think they were listed under camera accessories in his store.

Fry's Electronics has a Class 10 16GB MicroSD for only $30. I think that chain is only in the USA though. And the microSD is from some no name brand as well.

I lol people saying class 10 is better.

Okay people, wake up call,

* Class speed defines MINIMUM writing speed. It defines the slowest writing speed possible under normal circumstances. When I said normal I mean under ideal condition and room temperature. Class speed has NOTHING to do reading speed. While it correlates with reading speed, there is NO definite relationship between them.

* Even if reading speed is increased, it does NOT translate into increased performance for flashcart. In flashcart we are looking for random access speed. Reading speed everyone is referring to sequential access speed. Sequential access speed means data is being read from point A to B to C to D in order. It is an important factor camcorder, camera, computer, etc. Random access speed on the other hand, is an important factor for flashcart. In random access speed, data is being read from point A to D to B to C in RANDOM order. Reading speed does not tell us random access speed. Again, while reading speed tends to correlate with random access speed, there is NO definite relationship.

* Class speed is rated by manufacturer. It is NOT confirmed by SD card association. Therefore it is possible that some manufacturer lie about class speed.

* While there is no conclusive evidence behind this, people have reported that higher class leads to higher chance of data corruption.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
