Hi,

I would like to set a custom profile picture on my cfw switch emuMMC. I can see a lot of results on google from years back but nothing recent. Is it no longer possible?

Thank you MichaelShawJr,

Can I ask if you'd know how safe this is? Obviously I'm not intending to go online with it, I'm running emuMMC, with incognito so I should be ok to use this and any other homebrew, whilst keeping any ban risk at bay, is my understanding?

Is that about right?

Yes your safe as long as its offline only on emunand. Well put it this way, nothing is 100% safe when it comes to modding your switch, but if you get banned, it won't be because of this, it will be if Nintendo learns how to detect Emunands in general, (most likely will never happen) regardless if you have a custom avatar or not. Using this on any nand you plan to ever take online is a big no no though. Nintendo are strict on this because people were setting there icons to porn, so kids would see it on Mario Odyssey Ballon World.

Indeed. Completely understand. This Emunand will never be connected to Nintendo's servers. Incognito has set the serial number to XAJ00000000000. I doubt I will even use the sysnand as I have another switch for that...

Should I use the version you've linked to here even though it was written end of 2018?

Thanks for this, I'll take a look. I wasn't aware it would let me alter my profile image also.

It's the only installer I use these days tbh, although I had no idea you could change avatar..

Perhaps you can let us know how you get on

User account manager: Select a user account, and easily change things as the user's nickname or even delete it. Via the file browsers you can replace a user's icon with a JPEG image, but it can be a risky action. The icon needs to be a valid JPEG, with 256x256 dimensions. Goldleaf checks if the icon is valid to replace the other one. Linked accounts can also be unlinked (locally).

I used it, can confirm it's working fine. Just make sure the image is properly sized.
