changed fan issues

first I change my fan and now xlink kai is down, what should i do?
also i find xbmc runs weird without the dvd drive where it pauses then resumes every couple minutes like 5-10 is that normal?

i looked online and apparently xbmc has lag when you take out your dvd drive.
